Burgers feel home made, seasoned just right, fresh lettuce tomato and pickles with a light smear of mayo and ketchup. It was delicious. Park and eat, you’ll get juices all over if you try to drive and eat.

The atmosphere would be much better if they would take the time to clean windows and other surfaces inside & out by the door. The rugs outside the door were full of dirt and debris and didn’t make for a good first impression. I believe the young people that work there should make a little effort to clean where customers enter the restaurant when they get a spare minute or two. If you’re dining in, the whole experience is pretty filthy! If you’re taking out, there’s a picnic area in walking distance with a nice scenic riverview.

Great little greasy-spoon drive-in. Food is great, but just a little heavy on the oil/grease which is expected! Their shakes are amazing and the prices are extremely fair for the amount of food, service and quality. They do allow call-in’s for pickup orders which will expedite your trip. Just look online for their menu. We eat there regularly and it’s right by the river! You can tell the burgers are made on a seasoned flat top and that is what we keep coming back for.

I liked Jay’s. I had lunch there several times, while working the flood with the Georgia Baptists. They do it right. Reasonable prices. Hamburgers, milkshakes.

Jay’s it a small hole in the wall type diner that makes you think of a diner from your favorite classic TV show. One that always has the best food and great service. All the food is cooked to order so it is always hot, fresh and delicious! They have a great selection of items, both main items and sides. The burgers are great, and the kids love the chicken nuggets.
If you feel like eating outdoors, there’s a small pavilion right down the road that overlooks the river and has a playground beside it. It is unrelated to Jay’s itself but is a great place to eat and let the kids play.

So upon opening the lid of my shake to stir it a little bit,
I noticed the inside of the styrofoam cup was all scratched up because they mix the shake in the cup instead of a metal external cup and then pour it into the to go cup.
I am just now wondering how much styrofoam Ive eaten since we’ve been going here for quite some time. I hope someone looks into this changes are necessary and important!!! This is not thoughtful not at all. Dated November 2024
