The fresh smell of chicken greets you at the door. It smells so amazing! Cashier was very nice. Fresh batch of fried chicken was pulled as we ordered! They have jambalaya! Chicken was excellent. Packed with flavor. Definitely a place you should stop by, if your near the area.

Hey all,
Friday Sept 23rd My Mom and I stopped in at Jay’s cause I had always seen great buzz about his food and really who foesnt love good fried chicken. Getting in was a little crazy as they were doing construction directly in front of them which has to be hard on business. We went in and we were very kindly greeted . The gentleman behind the counter let us know they were pretty much out of chicken for the day since construction was obviously hurting them. We decided to buy the hodgepodge of what they had left. We had a few pieces of chicken, some red beans and rice, BBQ wings and some Sweet & Sour wings.
Starting with the Beans and rice..Excellent texture and flavors. Its taste like I’d expect from a soulful grandmother..Just the right seasonings and maybe some bacon? Ok..The wings..well these are a different experience then standing at kroger and having some miserable clerk give you what looks fried pigeon wings ..Jay’s wings were Huge..I ate 4 or 5 and was full….The BBQ was my fav of the 2 as it had some pleasant heat to it but still sweet. I was so full I had to save my 2 pieces of fried chicken for dinner with a few more wings. The fried chicken was very good. It was well marinated which you could see the color from the marinade. Chicken was fried so crisp but it was perfectly cooked so it was Juicy and full of flavor. Best I’ve had in a long time. Jay’s should be very proud of their food…and their service. Its nice to have someone help you that is Happy and proud of what he’s created..I ll definitely be back!!

While waiting in line, a few customers told how good this chicken was so I gave it a whirl. The chicken is juicy and fried perfectly. I wish the Cajun seasoning was a little more spicy but overall I highly recommend the chicken. Mashed potatoes were good. The biscuit is soft and tasty! Everyone loves the biscuits here with good reason. For now on, this is going to be my chicken joint. Thanks for the great service!

After reading the reviews I decided to stop in and try the chicken and I would say it’s average, the breast was over cooked. They didn’t put a biscuit in with the meal as it’s stated.
It is a bit more expensive than I thought it would be.

Heard all the great things about this place, but have to say was skeptical of it being in a gas station, but, oh my, fully worth it. Delicious chicken, and the biscuit was one of the best I’ve ever tried. A must to try out.

I was out with a coworker when we noticed we both were hungry, and he recommended to stop over by here because he stated that it had the best chicken in Cincinnati (So does other chicken joints). So we went in and ordered their 12-piece chicken tender meal with 4 biscuits and I’m telling you, their biscuits are to die for!! They out this glaze over them biscuits and man oh man they had me wanting more! Each bite was perfect and satisfied by hunger each time. The tenders were very good too. Juicy, not much breading on it (which I like a lot) so there’s more meat in it. I definitely want to go here more to try out their actual chicken breasts, thighs, legs, etc..

This honey battered shrimp, biscuit, and mash potatoes with gravy were beyond delicious!! 10/10 would definitely recommend!!
