Absolutely delicious fresh food, what a huge selection! I was surprised not only by the BBQ meat / seafood range but the veggies and sides as well. Never had the chance to try so many types of mushrooms before! Dipping sauce station is such a great addition as well – something for everyone. Hotpot broths also tasty. Highly recommend the side dishes too. I would have got more photos but I was too busy eating… I will be back!

Great place for Chinese and Korean food!

I regularly visit this restaurant with my family, and it’s definitely one of the best in Glasgow. One of the highlights is that they offer halal meats, with a separate counter dedicated to halal options, which is a big plus for us.

However, I do hope they improve the signage on the food trays or carts to clearly mark which items are halal. During our visit, my wife accidentally picked up chicken dim sum that wasn’t halal. Thankfully, a friendly staff member noticed and kindly informed us, then had it removed for us. We really appreciated that.

The service is good, but the food is the real star. The Korean lamb and beef that we grill ourselves are absolutely delicious!

One small suggestion: it would be great if they extended their opening hours, especially on weekends. At the moment, they close at 9pm every day, staying open until 11pm would be perfect.

Overall, the food won’t disappoint. Highly recommended!!!

Overall, very good experience. I would recommend and definitely go back. Variety of veggies, meats, seafood etc was perfect and very nice staff. The only downside was grill size. No matter it’s a group of 2 or 4 or 6 you get the same size grill board.

If you go with people with big appetites this is a great, there is so much food and a lot of options. A bit chaotic at first as no one really understood what to do but the staff helped when asked and are helpful. If you’re going for a quick meal it would be ££££, but if you’re ready to eat a lot, it is worth it

Once again, a great experience at Jay’s BBQ. The staff are always scanning around to see if anyone needs anything and they’re very attentive. They’re happy to answer any questions or explain things you might not be certain of. We hadn’t visited in a couple months and it was nice to see a few different flavours/rubs on the proteins, while the basics stay the same. The food tastes lovely and fresh. Can’t fault a thing.

We had an awesome experience at Jay’s. The food is great, lots of food to choose from that is perfectly prepared for bbq. We tried Bbq and hot pot. We had steak, pork belly, spicy beef, bacon, shrimp and kimchi , with other mixed salads, and we made our own sauces at the sause station. There was also sticky rice available with lamb stew. We had lots of vegetables and ramen with our chicken hot pot and spicy hot pot. The layout of the restaurant is good for the self service style. Staff are helpfull, welcoming and very polite. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. Deserts are awesome, choosing one is hard ……..
so I chose two.

There were three of us dining, and overall, the experience was delightful. When the dishes are prepared exactly as instructed, the flavours truly shine—each plate well-balanced and satisfying. The only minor drawback was the strawberries and lychee, which tasted a little bland, likely due to them being out of season. The staff were consistently attentive and pleasant, promptly clearing dishes and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. While the menu doesn’t offer a vast variety, the quality and execution make it a commendable choice for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

It is kind of not fair a 3 star as the food is definitely between 3 and 4 stars..

The food is fresh and tasty no doubt about that… I did read a review and onw person stated it was over rated…
First you cook your own food and habe your own sauces… so not sure the meet and fish tasted fresh…

There are good chicken, beef, pork options and other cut meats.
Good fish, squid, fish balls options
And King prawns too.

I bbq the chicken and pork and was super tasty…

I ate the fish and fish balls and squid and was nice and tasted fresh…

The selection of vegetables and sald and noodles is good… and there are plaenty of asian vegetables. Quite separate from the meat section.

There are a lot of sauces selection

And there is a good sweet selection…

There are no long rows of food selection which is good as the trays are always full and fresh.

The service was very attentive and nice… and I did not even had to ask for more hot water for my tea.

They made sure i undersrood how things worked and felt welcome.

When I walked in i saw every table enjoying themselves…

The tables are seating benches style and 3 a breast ia the max… I saw a few a bit squashed…

All in all a good fun interesting experience.

Coming from the US, this place is just bad. Selection is more limited, food quality isn’t great. The barbecue meat is super disappointing because you can tell the meat is poor quality and also very tough to chew. Broths aren’t tasty, the frozen hot pot meat had an off putting smell that was pretty unbearable without sauce.
At some points you don’t even know what you’re really eating. Price is ludicrous – it’s literal daylight robbery. Genuinely it’s crazy that they can charge that much, and it’s even crazier that it’s for the food they give you.

Do yourself a favor and try K-Pot in America and you’ll never want to have this garbage again. Cheaper, bigger selection – high quality food all around and broths that are super flavorful and tasty that you can just have them on their own. Even good hot pot places in New York wouldn’t charge as much as they do it’s insane.

Visited for BBQ/hotpot with a friend and paid £39 each for food. The service was excellent and the restaurant is run very professionally. However, I didn’t feel the food justified the price, mainly because the experience requires a lot of self‑cooking. It may suit people who enjoy that style, but it wasn’t the right fit for me.
