Reviews
The service was impeccable: attentive, polished, and genuinely warm. The wine list deserves special praise — extensive, well-curated, and clearly chosen with care. There is a strong sense of sophistication throughout the entire experience, almost with a subtle French flair.
As for the food — almost everything was absolutely delicious. The meats, the steak, the salads, the sides — all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Truly excellent cuisine overall.
There was only one small disappointment: the Chilean Sea Bass. While visually appealing, it lacked the signature texture and flavor this fish is known for. When prepared correctly, Chilean Sea Bass should melt in your mouth — delicate, buttery, effortless. Unfortunately, in this case it tasted more like a regular white fish, served in a green sauce that didn’t elevate the dish. It wasn’t terrible, but it simply didn’t match the level of the rest of the menu.
We were also a bit puzzled by the entertainment program. Short shows every 30 minutes, lasting about five minutes, felt somewhat disconnected. A brief appearance by a gymnast, while pleasant, didn’t feel particularly impactful or memorable. Perhaps a more cohesive or engaging entertainment concept would elevate the experience even further.
That said, despite these minor notes, this is absolutely a five-star place. Everything here is clearly thought out down to the smallest details — from design to service to ambiance. The food is refined, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the overall experience feels luxurious and intentional.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant with confidence and genuine enthusiasm. A beautiful, elegant place that leaves a lasting impression.
For clarity, at good restaurants with properly trained staff, the exchange goes line this: “May I have your phone number?” “No.” “That’s fine, let me show you to your table.”
Anything else is incredibly bad service.
For the remainder of the review: the food is ok, but not really worth it. People who like to drink alcohol probably find the brunch to be a much more compelling offer. The wait staff are attentive and friendly. I think the main reason people come here is to see and be seen – people dress up well, which makes the atmosphere reasonably nice.
The atmosphere is elegant yet calm—perfectly aligned with the serene sophistication of The Setai. Every detail feels intentional, from the table settings to the pacing of service, making the experience feel relaxed rather than rushed.
A special thank you goes to our server, Leticia, who made the morning flawless. She was attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable—anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Her professionalism and genuine kindness elevated the entire experience and made us feel truly welcomed and cared for.
If you’re looking for one of the best luxury breakfast experiences in Miami, Jaya’s caviar breakfast buffet is an absolute must. Exceptional food, a stunning setting, and outstanding service—five stars in every sense.
The Highlights: A massive raw bar, Peking duck, and an incredible dessert station.
The Setting: Dining in the sun-drenched Zen courtyard is pure paradise.
The Verdict: It’s pricey, but for the world-class variety and the breezy, sophisticated atmosphere, it’s the best Sunday treat in the city.
This is not my first time here, and it certainly won’t be my last!
I visited for dinner and was completely captivated. The live entertainment — from the fire dancers to the musicians — creates a cinematic backdrop that makes every bite feel part of the experience. The ambiance is luxurious but approachable, the kind of setting that invites celebration without pretense.
The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every course was thoughtfully composed — bold yet balanced flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with passion. The service team was exceptional, managing a busy evening crowd with grace and warmth.
If you’re in Miami Beach, make this one of your must-visit dinner reservations. It’s where culinary excellence meets art — and where you’ll understand why Jaya has become one of the city’s most iconic dining experiences.
Unfortunately, the service was a huge disappointment. From the very start, there were no vases for flowers (in a restaurant where people usually celebrate special occasions!). Our bouquet ended up just leaning against a chair. For bringing our own cake, they charged $14 per person, but never stored it in the fridge – it was warm and the ganache melted. On top of that, they charge extra to cut the cake. Since we refused, they first gave us a flimsy plastic knife, then a butter knife, and finally a steak knife, which was at least usable.
They mixed up one of our cocktails, and with tea the situation was just ridiculous. We ordered it before the cake, but it only arrived after we had already sung happy birthday, made a wish, cut the cake, and almost finished eating it. One tea was even replaced randomly with chamomile instead of mint.
The food itself – just fine. Not bad, not amazing. Don’t expect anything special. The atmosphere and show are the strongest part. The DJ played some decent tracks, but the transitions were really strange – cutting off songs at their best moment. Maybe some people like that style, but for us it was just odd.
The worst part: the bathroom. For a “premium” restaurant it was simply dirty, which is unacceptable.
Overall:
• Service – 2/10
• Food – 7/10
• Atmosphere – 8/10
• Bathroom cleanliness – 0/10
So overall, it’s a place you can go to if you want a flashy celebration with a show, but don’t expect great service or spotless facilities. Jaya really needs to fix the basics: service, cleanliness, and a bit more care for their guests. Until then, it’s more of a 2-star experience than a luxury one.
My final rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2 out of 5).
