It is very busy during the day, but they have a lot of good drink options and a bathroom. It’s a nice place to stop for a break while skiing at Welch. Two big TVs and they also serve some food as well (we didn’t get a chance to try it).

No lines at the lifts. Good value for lift tickets. A can of craft beer cost $8 though. Service at the chalet was very slow, both bartenders where preoccupied, one counting tips or money and the other working on a schedule or picks. Over all clean facility and lift operators are friendly.

Terrible customer service when asking for a refund got told no after waiting over 30 minutes for wings and soup in an unbusy time of day and the customer service from the kitchen manager Jason baker is down right disrespectful and uncalled for if your looking for good food drinks and service go to the cannon river inn down the road

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jaxx @ Welch Village Ski Area, and I have to say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, with a great mix of vintage and modern decor. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure I had everything I needed.
The best time to visit Jaxx @ Welch Village Ski Area is during the ski season, when the ski area is open and the atmosphere is at its fullest and most lively. The restaurant is located at the base of the ski area and it’s a great spot to grab a bite to eat before or after hitting the slopes.

PLEASE BRING THE BENCH BACK!
Would be a five if not for the jr High Cafeteria daylight lighting.
Get new Light Bullbs! It’s a bar not a cafeteria!
Beer has gone way up too.
UPDATE: 1/24 they remodeled again, overall a bit too fancy for my tastes but nice. AND.. they have come to their senses and got rid of the cafeteria style lighting!! Huge props for that!! Not quite the cool ski bar vibe as it used to be but chill. I’ve not tried the food cause it seems spendy.
I’m disappointed that beer is now stadium prices at $10 a beer! That is waay too much for one beer and will prevent me from buying two. Can we be reasonable at $7?? I guess we have to pay for the second remodel in 5 years.
I’ll give it another star for getting rid of the lighting but not as classic as it used to be back in the day with all the trail maps hung on the walls.

2/26 update. Beer is now at around $10.50!! Just to compare airport beer is $9.75
After tip US Bank beers are $18.00 but it’s basically for two beers. So in essence Jaxx is more expensive than stadium beer or Airport beers.

Good food, tasty Bloody Marys, good-spirited staff behind the bar. Tends to get crowded on weekends but bar and kitchen staff handle it well. Seat yourself, wipe off, and bus your own table, pick up the food yourself.

This place has always been great. The service is fast and efficient and everyone is so nice. The place gets busy fast and the kitchen does great to keep up, I didn’t get anyone’s name but they are doing great. Always love this place and their bloody Mary’s as well. The only thing I would change is only the size, if it were a little bigger we would have more room to move around.

Best apres ski Bar in the Midwest. Possibly one of the best in North America. Only one that I personally have been to that gets close is A-Basin’s 6th Alley. Jaxx has the best bloody mary I ever have had. Every bloody I have gets compared to it, none have beaten it.
