I like big beer cases and I cannot lie. If you like trying different craft beers but don’t to drive all over the city, state, or world, go to Jaxx. Thanks to Victoria Jaxx has big beer cases and they are full of different craft beers from around city, state and world. Strawberry Pretzel salad, they have it. Juicy Monkey, they have it. Expresso Brown Ale, they have it. Slushies, they have them. Sit in the pub, at the bar, in the beer garden or on the sidewalk. Have a different beer in each different sitting area. Genius!

I thought the roast pork from here was actually excellent, I went in with pretty minor expectations but it was very good. Service here is very laid back, you might need to grab a servers attention if you’re sitting outside cause it seems tough to differentiate who is drinking & eating. That said, our server was nice and it’s a good spot to sit outside. Would be nice to watch a Phils game here.

This is the real deal a Philly cheese steak. The steak meat, provolone cheese, and the roll. Oh my goodness. The best I have ever tasted. Reasonable prices with an amazing atmosphere. The server was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. When in Philly check them out.

Jaxx is my local pub. Historically I’ve always felt like their food is pretty mid, but being so close to me and with their large selection of beer I’ve always wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve eaten here a handful of times, and while it’s nothing special it never has been terrible. Until tonight. I was in a rush tonight and needed to eat something quick, so I reluctantly ordered a roasted pork sandwich- as there are reviews that say it’s very good and the pictures do look appetizing- with broccoli rabe and cheese. But I was extremely let down. Not only was there nothing except roast pork on the sandwich, but it was extremely dry. Definitely not what is advertised or what is normally served. I was very let down, even with my already low expectations. Jaxx is only good for the beer selection. I once believed their food was okay- will get you by in a pinch. But after tonight I will not be eating from them again. Such a let down for a local in the neighborhood who wants to like this place so bad, but they never deliver. I will be calling for a refund. Extremely let down and only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it’s a local business and it’s good beer selection. Their food needs to step it up.

Growing up in South Jersey/Philly it is very rare that I am moved by a cheesesteak. They are all just fine in my book (and that’s all they really ever need to be). However, I had a cheesesteak hoagie from here last night that was exceptional! So much so that I felt the need to write a review (which I almost never do). Super meaty, super cheesy, very well seasoned, great seeded roll…honestly it was absolutely perfect. Can’t wait to have another! Highly recommended!

I opted for spring rolls, they were hot crispy & oily. I decided to do take out because there was a woman who had her dog lying on the outside patio table. Because of this and the fact that parking is super difficult, I won’t be returning.
