I had the Fried Cod Roll $10 Lunch special and it was good! The restaurant was so clean and everything was cooked literally right in front of you which I loved. I would def come back again and I need to get the lobster roll

Stopped here for lunch after craving fried seafood and we loved it! I especially enjoyed the fried shrimp and onion rings. The tartar sauce is the best I’ve ever had. It’s tucked away in a corner location, but well worth finding the entrance (and the private patio is a nice touch). We will be back!

The meal was very disappointing portion size was closer to a kids’ meal than an adult serving, especially for the high price. Definitely not worth the cost. On top of that, the worker was unresponsive and not helpful with requests. Thanks, but I’ll be getting my seafood elsewhere.

Worth the effort to find this wonderful fish fry eatery. The owner personally prepared our made to order cod fish and fries, shrimp and lobster roll. Loved the tartar sauce. Fantastic onion rings too. Bonus – They have a nice outside patio. Highly recommend and will be back.

Fantastic quality. Everything was lightly fried and packed with flavor. The shrimp are huge, crispy and without tails. I often want to drive to the Florida Key’s for some proper shrimp… this saves me the trip (thank you). The tartar sauce tastes exactly how you hope it will. Love the thin-sliced fries too which seem to come unsalted which is great as I can add my own level. Restaurant was super clean… you can tell they have a mindful eye on that. Staff is great, no matter how busy it gets they seem calm and totally under control. I’ll definitely go back when the seafood urge hits.

This restaurant is a beautiful addition to St. John’s county. It sits across from one restaurant and adjacent to another. Therefore, it’s sorta tucked away. I think this adds to the experience. Private patio, away from walking traffic. First let me say that this place is very clean upon walking in. The interior isn’t anything fancy but that’s not a bad thing. It’s your simple down home, come get some good fried fish kinda place.

The food is delicious . They have combos which I like because I like to sample just about everything. On my visit I had the fish, shrimp, and fried oysters. All FRIED! Don’t judge me lol. My fav was the oysters. They have a variety of sauces and they serve beer in addition to water and soft drinks. Oh, the fries are good good. The fries are peeled potato strips. Definitely try them when you go. Don’t forget the salt, pepper and ketchup. That’s the Marylander in me lol.

The staff is always friendly and welcoming. From the way they operate, this place screams family business and they treat you as such. Love it!

Parking is free and plentiful. You have zero excuses. Come and experience this gem in St. John’s County FL.

this was my 30th birthday dinner and I was severely disappointed. This is not the Jax Fish Fry I knew or recommend to people. The shrimp were barely breaded and honestly tasted boiled. The onion rings reminded me of Burger King especially with that breading. Was it because of the two 16 year old girls working? Did they change their batters? I don’t know, but I am devastated my favorite fried shrimp place has gone so downhill.

UPDATE: you can respond and try to point this on me all you want. I’m not going to let you try to talk your way around that the food was terrible. That’s not anyone faults other than the business. This is just letting people know so if they don’t listen to my review and go and have the same experience they won’t be shocked like I was. If I wanted a response I would have wasted my time contacting the business, but no matter the response it wasn’t going to change the food I was served. Therefore I’m just doing my part and letting the hard working people to spend their hard earned money somewhere else.

A quality, “fresh” fish fry. Lightly battered and hand cut cod with cool cut fries and slaw. Also have beers available. Restaurant owner introduced himself and was very nice. The two of us ate for less than $40. Will absolutely be back to try the lobster roll!

Great dining experience. Food tasted very fresh. It was very clean and well kept. The lobster rolls were awesome and definitely gave the best portion of lobster in a roll i’ve seen since i was in Boston. While my mom would have preferred some clam chowder to go with it, everything else was great. Couldn’t go wrong getting some quick dining seafood here.

Been hearing about this spot and it came up on “seafood near me” in a search. We went to the St John’s location off I95 and S.R. 210.
The owner (Dori, i think) was there working. She was so hospitable. The food is made-to-order and the menu is small.
Lobster Roll
Fried shrimp, fried Cod, fried clam strips. Handhelds as well with the same fish.
We got the lobster roll with onion rings with an add of clay strips and a shrimp basket.
The clams were fried perfectly and not at all chewy. The lobster roll was good. The star IMO was the shrimp. Lightly battered and gently fried. Onion rings were good but very crunchy. Coleslaw is delicious; someplace between a cool Creamy slaw and a vinegary slaw. So good!
Desserts are made in house by the owner and so good! Definitely a must try spot!
