Very cool spot with excellent food selection! Tried the salmon infused deviled eggs and had their hot chicken Caesar wrap. Everything was absolutely delicious even their steamed broccoli was better than what many places serve. I was offered a side of pickles while I was waiting and thought that was a unique touch as I’m guessing they’re either housemade or something local but those were wonderful!

Certainly a place I could see myself hanging out at if I lived in the area. Locals were friendly and the bartenders were too. Stop by and try them out.

First lunch we tried at Jax had us hooked like large mouth bass! Great service, atmosphere & menu, not to mention their free homemade pickles ti start!

Large menu with a huge variety of deli sandwiches and pita pizzas! Soups and salads too

We have been back 2 more times so far since then and will always be on our “go to” places for lunch.

We recommend the pastrami on rye, Mediterranean Pizza, clam chowder(any soup), crab cake pizza, their homemade potato salad…..

Can’t go wrong at Jax!

fantastic food and service, great choices for local IPAs and other beers. excellent chicken sammich, bar staff attentive when needed [was crowded during my Thursday night visit] without being pushy. great sandwich, well presented with a large portion of side salad–fresh, colorful, tasty, and great dressing. I heartily recommend Jax 5th Avenue Ale House–check them out!

Pretty cool bar to get some delicious Boar’s Head sandwiches. The pickles were great, too! At 530 on a Thursday, there was plenty of parking. We took my teenagers, and they finished their food without complaining. Service was on top of it like pros. Definitely would go again. My pictures aren’t worthy.

Fun diner with tons of tvs and full bar. We were here for lunch on a late Tuesday in the fall so place was empty. Complimentary pickles were amazing, made here and came before our meal. We both had sandwiches and they were fresh and delicious.
Highly recommend this place. Probably will be packed on the weekends with football and college crowd.

I gotta give this place a shoutout again. Great pastrami, mac and cheese and Cole slaw. If you want a slammin’ Long Island Iced Tea, ask for Justin! One should do ya! Two? Call Uber! The server, Katie, was definitely on point!

We try to stop in at Jax whenever we’re in town. The staff is always friendly and I enjoy the complimentary pickles they have for the table. Plus they have a lot of interesting choices on the menu.

I’ve enjoyed their Polish sausage sandwich on a couple occasions. Today I decided to try their Reuben sandwich. When I saw they were using an onion roll for another sandwich I asked if they’d make mine on one. I was really looking forward to the added onion flavor, but unfortunately even tho they were on it I couldn’t taste them much. The corned beef was good and the saurkraut was cooked nice and soft. The side salad was a bit of a letdown as it had a massive amount of red onions on it and hardly no lettuce. The dressing was nice tho.

I don’t recall what my spouse had, but hers was kind of off. Too bad cos previously it seemed like it could be a solid choice anytime.

Stopped by for lunch. We had a very good meatball hoagie and my wife had a very good BLT on sourdough bread

The Hungarian Mushroom Soup was nothing short of a masterpiece. The soup was velvety smooth, with a perfect balance of mushrooms. The earthy mushrooms were complemented by a subtle hint of paprika, a nod to the traditional Hungarian touch. Creamy, yet not overwhelmingly so, the soup had just the right amount of tang.
It was clear that the ingredients were fresh and carefully selected. Every spoonful felt like a delicious warm hug, a true testament to the skill of the chef. It was hearty without being heavy, and the warmth from the spices was perfectly balanced with the creamy texture.
As for the service, Daniel’s attention to detail and hospitality were absolutely stellar.
His cheerful demeanor, and thoughtful recommendations made us feel like we were dining in the comfort of a friend’s home, even though we were in a bustling restaurant.
If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and try the soup; you won’t regret it. The caesar salad, potato salad and Mediterranean wrap are also off the charts.

Went for dinner and the attraction for me was the diner look and feel. I sat at the bar as I was dining by myself. Bartender greeted me and was friendly. I sat and she had provided me the menus and asked if I wanted pickles, a little confused and was informed that they give a little jar of pickles instead of chips at the bar. I must say there were some solid pickle chips. I ordered a pastrami sandwich with the Mac and cheese as the bartender told me it was a solid side choice. The sandwich was good on toasted bread. The Mac and cheese was solid and nice and cheesy. Overall a great meal and service was quick also.
