Was out driving around looking for some good tacos I thought vwell let’s check it out. Got some beria tacos. The gentleman that attended me was great spoke Spanish and English we had conversations of were I was from and about the food. The consumel that came with the beria tacos was delicious he added Chile de arbol made even better. People come in but not a lot. I thought to myself this is as close as you get to a great authentic taco up here from from the border in Nebraska. Great place definitely will be back if I’m in the area again. Staff is very friendly, and the food is delicious! I got the $10 meal deal, the two hard tacos, and they really load them up! The fajita onions/peppers were so good even by themselves! I will definitely be back for more! I ate my food too quick, or else there’d be a picture with this review!

Javi’s Tacos absolutely delivered. Their salsa bar is awesome. Fresh, flavorful, the perfect kick without being overwhelming.
I ordered the birria tacos, and they were next level. Tender, juicy, packed with flavor. Some of the best birria I’ve had in Omaha, hands down.
Great food, great service. If you’re in Omaha and craving tacos, Javi’s is a must.

I love Javi’s specials – they’re continually running deals which makes it fun and affordable to go.
Food was delicious and lots of options to choose from. You cannot go wrong with their margaritas and nachos! It continually takes a decent amount of time for the food to be prepared, regardless of if there is a line or not. Last few times Ive been in there have a weird scent.
Overall, I enjoy going to Javis.

My husband and I love trying new restaurants (especially ones that serve Mexican food) but we were very disappointed with our lunch experience here. First off the woman taking our order was not friendly and it seemed like she wanted to be anywhere other than where she was. The prices were exorbitant and the food quality just wasn’t worth it. Both my pizza and my husband’s tacos were burnt on the outside and other than raw onions that’s the only flavor we could taste. The rice was undercooked and flavorless.

Omgoodness, the burritos were amazing and huge. There were so many choices I wanted some of everything on mine (totally an option), however, I restrained myself. We had four burritos with different meat choices, rice choices, beans, toppings, and sauces and all of them were very tasty. Every member of the staff we encountered were super kind, upbeat, and helpful. They made eye contact and a little conversation. We will definitely be returning! Thanks Javi’s!

I didn’t really care for the meat (Birria was good, but the asada was meh), but everything else was super fresh and tasty, including the sauce. Lots of topping options which is nic. The salsa was top notch.

Inflated Google reviews claim yet another victim. I’m only disappointed in myself for being optimistic that this place might actually have decent food. If you’re here for the TLDR version here it is – there is a chain that rhymes with Chip-Goat-Lay that does it better for less. I’m not one to recommend a chain, and really, I’m not. What I’m saying is that if you’re thinking about Javi’s you should instead walk, no run, to the chain and go home slightly satisfied.
The pictures say it all. One is our shrimp Javi’s taco the way it comes. $1 upcharge for 2 rubberized shrimp. The tortillas won’t hold up to their own weight, even doubled up. And the few toppings they have aren’t fresh and taste like garbage.
Another picture is the Javi’s taco as seen after one bite, falling apart.
Our bill was $61 after 20% tip. 6 tacos and a burrito combo. The combo… laughable! You get a side of rice and beans and a drink. The charro beans were disgusting. I’ve never seen charro beans with sliced hot dog in them but hey, I’m from Texas so my Midwest “Mexican” experience is limited.
This place is a complete joke. Save your money and go ANYWHERE else.
