I traveled from Dallas to Clayton, Oklahoma to check out some camping and land lots, and after a long day, stopping at Javi’s was exactly what I needed.
The customer service was excellent — Javi was incredibly professional, welcoming, and very helpful with the menu. You can genuinely feel the care and pride in how they treat their customers.
The food was fresh and delicious.
Guacamole was freshly made
Chips were hot and freshly fried
I ordered the fish dish, and it was absolutely so good — cooked perfectly and full of flavor
After a long, tiring day, this meal really hit the spot and made me feel refreshed and satisfied.
I’ll definitely be coming back and look forward to trying new dishes on my next visit.
Highly recommend if you’re in or around Clayton, Oklahoma — great food, great service, and a very welcoming atmosphere.

We stopped by Javi’s Mexican Grill with friends and a group of kids for a casual meal. It’s a laid-back Mexican café with all the classics—tacos, quesadillas, and a generous amount of guacamole, which turned out to be a real highlight. Their guacamole is delicious, and our kids were excited to order their meals themselves. We changed and added to our order a few times, and the staff handled it all with patience and friendliness—huge thanks for that.
The food overall was fresh and tasty, and the service really made a difference. However, there was one unfortunate detail: we found a small piece of plastic in one of the tacos. We didn’t mention it to the staff—given how many adjustments we made, it felt like we’d already tested their limits. Still, it’s important to note.
The interior could benefit from a redesign—it currently feels more like a cafeteria than a cozy restaurant. That said, considering the location, modest traffic, and affordable pricing, this place is likely the best option in the area for a solid, no-fuss Mexican meal.

Amazing food!!! We were driving through and stopped 30 minutes before closing. They did let us know they close in 30 minutes but they were still very friendly, attentive, and the food was hot and delicious!!! My husband said this will be a planned stop for all his trips through OK!!! It was soooo good!!!

I wish I could give them 6 Stars! Hubby and I went for the first time this last weekend with my veteran Dad and his wife. The quality and price blow away anyplace in the Dallas Metroplex where we live. It was FABULOUS!!!!!! We got their Fajita lunch special with beans and rice. The meat was very tender and the beans were flavorful and creamy! We couldn’t decide on the creamy Guacamole or the Mexican Chunky Guacamole so we ordered both. The creamy Guacamole was excellent. But the Mexican Chunky Guacamole was the best I’ve EVER had! Jessica, the owner, offered us pinapple water with our meal at no extra cost adding to the already unbelievable value! This will be our go-to weekend dinner spot even if it’s just to take home and eat!!! I hope they can stay in business because this place seriously made our weekend with such good food and a value that is crazy amazing. See yall next weekend!!!

First off, it’s some great food delicious, and they give you plenty for your money’s worth.
The staff is great, they check on you enough, and they seem to be happy to accommodate your food needs. They smile and greet you as soon as you walk in, and the place is very clean.
My only complaint is that it’s very bare aesthetic wise, and they don’t have napkins, just a roll of paper towels that can be difficult to use if your hands are dirty from the food. The paper towel thing is my biggest complaint, since everybody has to touch the roll holder to get a paper towel, and you know some people will have gross hands . So hopefully they clean those after every table .
But besides that, it’s a great place to eat

It was hot but there were fans on & i don’t like cold air cooling my food off anyway. Had chorizo queso, (spicy but so good) & lunch fajitas, (steak & shrimp). It was really good.

Waitress was ok. Brought my drink out in a dirty cup. We didn’t get any chips and salsa until our food was already on the table. My meal came with tortillas but I had to ask for them. Food was mediocre.
