Delicious 2pm Brunch meal. Wife ordered the senior special, great cook on the hashbrowns. I ordered the chilaquiles which were tasty along with Javi’s Margarita. We’ll be back or maybe we’ll check out their new location on Mill Plain in Vancouver.

In town on business from Nashville, TN…chose “Local Gems” from Google and couldn’t have been happier. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the “homey” feel and the robust smell of fresh coffee ☕️. We started looking around at what everyone was ordering and could pretty much tell everything and anything we ordered would be great. I got the Denver scramble (with a Latin twist) with sweet potatoes, sour dough bread and they brought me their house made hot sauce. Don’t settle for anything out of a jar, ask for the house hot sauce ️…it is spicey with a robust flavor. My breakfast was healthy, yummy and filling. I am hoping we can make it back once more this week.

The Chilaquiles were perfect! Flavorful, and still crunchy! The meat omelette was tasty and well done, but it was the kind of omelette where the extras are in the middle, and not incorporated in. The pancake was fluffy, but didn’t taste like baking soda! Very tasty food!

Javier is the chef and the owner and maybe in December he’s gonna open a new location in Vancouver Washington. He came by the table to say good morning and ask us what we ordered and gave some recommendations for our next visit of things to order. He was very pleasant and friendly as were all the staff. The restaurant is very cute but very tight. The parking lot area is very small so I could see where that would be a problem if your vehicle was too big and they have outdoor seating which seems like they wouldn’t mind you having a small well mannered dog with you but my crazy little pups would’ve been too disruptive. We will definitely visit this place again. My guy said the Chillakilas’s were the bomb. So I had to sample them and yes, the green sauce was amazing. The chips seemed freshly made the chicken had good flavor. We definitely recommend this place.

we weren’t greeted by our server until 10 minutes after being seated, they did apologize for the wait, but we were their only table, so not sure why there was a wait in that case. Anyways the server only came back to bring our food or drinks. and I pulled a hair out of the middle of my “red” potatoes.. I didn’t even get the chance to tell the server because they were nowhere to be found until they brought the check. They also finally asked if we wanted a refill on coffee when they brought the check… there were no table touches in between bringing out the food and bringing the check. Service was terrible, stale, food was okay, but the hair made us lose our appetite. I recommended the tres leches French toast. For the price, the chilaquiles could be more filling. Over all left feeling regretful I spent money there and won’t be back.

Wow! The food was absolutely exquisite. These chilaquiles were, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted. The burst of flavors reminded me of the last time I savored such a delightful dish in Querétaro, Mexico. My little one ordered the Mexican hot chocolate, and she was completely enchanted by its rich and creamy sweetness. The French toast was nothing short of delightful, perfectly golden and sprinkled with just the right amount of powdered sugar. We appreciated the addition of fresh, vibrant fruit and ingredients that elevated the meal even further. We will definitely be coming back for more of this amazing culinary experience!

Food is beautifully presented and tastes great. We enjoyed the seafood and the ham Benedicts as well as a Seattle scramble. The only negative was from the two coffee drinkers in our group who felt that the coffee was bitter and tasted burned… even the fresh pot that was provided on request. Staff was happy and accommodating, so the overall experience was very positive despite the disappointing coffee.

Quaint place found for a quick late breakfast. The inside of the restaurant is larger than first appearance.
The wait staff is pleasant, smiling.
Menu prices seems a bit high, plenty of options to choose from for this breakfast/lunch diner.
Ordered off senior menu to keep portion size lower. Bacon looked good but way too salty for my tastes.
Husband had a Monte Cristo that was sky high tall.

I don’t know how I’ve lived in Portland for 15 years and haven’t eaten here until recently, but here we are. By far the best breakfast I’ve had in Portland, and it’s definitely my new regular spot. On my last visit I had corned beef hash, and took some churro French toast to go to share with friends later that day- and it was still amazing hours later! Service is amazing, and every. single. thing that comes out of that kitchen was made from scratch with thought and care. Love Javi’s!!!!

A pleasant homestyle cafe with an extensive breakfast menu, attentive servers and affordable prices. The coffee was hot with fresh cream and the service was top notch. The place was very busy but they had more than enough staff for the small dining area. There was outdoor seating. We had the eggs benedict and an omelette. We also shared the caramel pancakes and they were excellent. Overall I was impressed with their attention to detail and the quality of the food. I might not get the microgreens on my Benedict next time, but it was an interesting addition that added some flair. I was very surprised that the paprika they used had a spicy kick, I’ve never had spicy paprika before. I would probably ask for my hash browns to be well-done next time we go.
