We were told about this place and decided to make the hour drive to check it out and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing and the food was just as good. Everyone was so attentive and polite. The food was fresh and hot. If you like fruit, chocolate and churros then you have to get the chocolate piñata. This place is worth checking out for great Mexican food.

Javi’s is insanely delicious. The queso is perhaps the best queso this side of the Rio grande. The redfish and scrimp, delicioso. The relleno, topped with carne asada is heaven sent. The Tex-mex platter with a taco, tamale, cheese enchilada and chicken enchiladas is . The refried beans are some of the best around. The javi taxi margaritas swirl is so good.

If you’re wanting an upscale environment with amazing food I definitely recommend Javi’s!!! Prices are very reasonable considering the elevated atmosphere and food quality. Many different food options that won’t disappoint. Great for a business lunch, group of friends or date night.

Lunch was a quiet atmosphere. Our hostess sat us in a large room overlooking the pond. That was perfect. They gave us two different salsas. I asked for a refill on one because it was perfect. We ordered queso, and I have to say it was some of the best queso I’ve ever eaten. Enchilada lunch was pretty spectacular. I was really impressed with the side dishes.

We celebrated my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary in the upstairs private room, and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was excellent, the staff was attentive, and everything exceeded our expectations. A special thank-you to Gracie, one of the managers, she was a big reason the celebration was such a success.

Food is decent, parking is a nightmare. I think it’s because everyone knows not to order take out from Javis.
We ordered fajitas and realized after we got home there were no tortillas included. Also no beans but whatever, it happens. Frustrating that you have to pay their take out surcharge (inflated menu price) via Toast and tip before any service is provided, but hang on it gets better.
After driving back to the restaurant to retrieve the tortillas, I had to wait a few. Maybe they’re getting fresh ones.. Finally I was handed the rest of my order in a bag. “We gave you a free dessert for having to drive back up here.” I certainly wasn’t expecting nor wanted anything free, it always makes it awkward. Turns out the “free dessert” was a FOUR day old tres leches that expired the day before.
I don’t get it. I paid, was friendly and expected nothing other than a “sorry, here’s your food”. Instead I got tortillas and tres leches middle finger.
Thanks Javis.

We’re from New Mexico so obviously the food isn’t going to be what we are used to and that’s perfectly fine. I had the steak enchiladas, they were okay but I personally would not order again. My husband had the fajitas and I recommend 100 percent. Also, the churros were the best we have ever had, those were insane. Menu has 2 sides to choose from but one side is alcohol so really just one side of food to choose from. Atmosphere was amazing, we sat on the patio right next to the water. Didn’t have reservations just walked in on a Friday night was told an hour wait for the patio then got seated in the next 5 min! We were shocked and so grateful. I had seen this place off old Jacksonville and thought it looked like a great spot and we will absolutely be coming again. A lovely evening for date night thank you!

This was our first time visiting Javi’s and we will be coming back! Our food was amazing (my husband ordered the birria tacos and I ordered the crispy chicken enchiladas). Our waitress was super sweet as well! Javis is an amazing place for good food and very reasonable price.
