Best authentic Mexican in South Ogden—hands down! Javier’s is a true gem and has been a family favorite for years. The food comes out hot, flavorful, and in huge portions—everything tastes homemade with that perfect balance of spices. Must-tries: the carne asada chimichanga (bomb!), smothered burritos with killer chile verde, cheesy enchiladas, fresh guac, and those crispy tacos. The salsa and chips are addictive right from the start! The staff is incredibly friendly and treats you like family (Javier and the team really make you feel at home), service is quick even when busy, and the place is clean and cozy. Great value for the quality and quantity—perfect for lunch specials, dinner with the family, or takeout. If you’re craving real Mexican comfort food in the Ogden area, this is the spot—we’ll keep coming back every time! Highly recommend!

Been going here since I was a kid at that first building, by the dog food factory.
Now I get the Pavlovian every time I smell that dog food cooking.
I’ve also lived everywhere across the States and no place does their chile Rellenos better (Blanche’s Special with the chile verde atop) than here.

The service was good and the food was delicious. We showed up about an hour before closing, so it wasn’t very busy. The waitress was nice and the environment was warm. I would definitely recommend this place for some good authentic Mexican food.

I’ve been going to Javier’s for a couple of decades. It’s probably my favorite top three. It’s great for a quick dinner or even something longer to sit around and talk after. The food is great and the servers are so nice. I will always keep going back here regardless of which location.

Food was doll, tasteless. The service was low key⭐️. The beef, was pain, no seasoning, ⭐️⭐️(all that they put into it). The green sauce, with pork, I had better store can bot sauce ⭐️⭐️.
