This place is not very good. We placed a to-go order and it took over 30 minutes to get our food! The place was packed but the people who came after us still got their food first. Since the place is so small there’s not much room to wait so we had to stand near the entrance under the vents so it was super hot. But the worst part is that they ran out of bacon but didn’t even tell us so the sandwich came with a single strip of bacon! We paid for an $11 LT!! No B!!! For how expensive it was they could’ve at least let us know! If you want take-out DO NOT get it here!

Java nation offers a u due array of food options ranging from traditional breakfast to Latin fusion and even smoothies, with a standard array of coffee types. The food was tasty – I’ve had the breakfast sandwich and pancakes before and today we got a a chicken shawarma-type pita special. Filling, tasty and unique! Also got a crepe and pancakes for kids, who enjoyed them. The main issue was the pricing of some menu options and how they get you to just pay for it if you don’t check them. I was asked if I wanted French fries or chips – I preferred the fries but then noticed when she rung me up they cost $4! Which was absurd and not made clear. I also picked up a Diet Coke can – a 7.5 oz one (the only Diet Coke option) only to find out that would have been $4.50! That is even more absurd- it wasn’t even a full 12 oz can. I opted for the $5 cold brew, which seems like the going rate (maybe in the slightly higher side). The food was good and I’d return but would be kk soul of what I’m ordering.

Quick spotlight on one of my favorite little neighborhood spots! I come here every so often when I’m just looking for a breakfast I don’t have to prepare. I always get the same thing – the breakfast sandwich and chai latte, which are both always amazing. Some day I’ll expand my palate because they have a bunch of pastries and other menu items that I’m sure are great. It’s such a cozy spot and the service has always been wonderful for me, as well as the ambience. I definitely enjoy coming here! Small thing that in no way takes away from the rating, but I would enjoy a bit more ✨diversity✨ in the wall art . But the bio on the wall says it was all done by one artist, a high school senior who did an amazing job! That’s just a personal preference. Either way, I’m a repeat customer!

I work near Java Nation and I do like their products, even though they are expensive. I eat/caffeinate here almost once a week. I crave their chicken arepa almost weekly (even if it is about $15 after taxes, no sides).

What really gets me and makes me question coming here is the fact that whenever I put in a to-go order, it takes absolutely forever. They quote about 30 minutes on the app regardless of the items or what you order, and I work about 5 minutes walking distance. Yesterday, 10/8, I ordered a PSL (yes I know I’m basic but I really wanted to try theirs), and I walked to Safeway to do some quick shopping first, giving me over 30 minutes to get there. I got there, asked for my order, and she like started to make the drink, by pouring ice in a cup….which confused me because 1) I ordered it hot and 2) it wasn’t ready? I told her I ordered this over 30 minutes ago snd I ordered it hot and she said “oh, it looks like they made it already so I have to redo it” and she held up a really weird looking iced coffee that didn’t look like even an iced latte. I was pretty annoyed, to say the least.

Every time I order I feel like my food is never actually ready by the time I get there, even though I give them ample time. So, even though I know their product and their quality is great, their timing and their prices are starting to become to prohibitive in this economy.

I’ve given Java Nation at different locations a try because I am under the impression that it is a great food group doing great things with coffee farmers abroad, so I am always down to support good causes.
But I don’t know why, there’s always something wrong with my food or with the service, something that lacks every time or maybe I am just the lucky one.
This location offers a nice ambiance but the service is so s-l-o-w… coffee takes forever to come out and if you order food the wait is even longer. The front staff is not even apologetic about it. More than a 15 minutes wait for a sandwich, an omelette or a salad is way too much, especially for such a small kitchen. It’s not that the food is horrible, it is just not memorable, nothing special about it, really.
Additionally, this time I ordered take out. When I got home my order was wrong. I had ordered a mushroom and feta omelette and got the one with ham instead. I can’t even eat ham at the moment! Since I just didn’t have the time to go back there to ask for a change (nor the patience) I just did not eat it.
I also think it is overpriced. Paying $42 for a burger and an omelette is way too much.
I guess this is just not a spot for me.

Best. Eggs. Benny. EVER!!!!! The hollandaise was perfection! Lemony. The eggs were poached perfectly, which is hard to do when food is being delivered. Everything was presented beautifully. Well done! Java Nation is my new “go to”!!!!

Here’s a polished version you could post as a review for your friend’s coffee shop:

Java coffee shop is absolutely stunning! The atmosphere is outstanding—warm, welcoming, and beautifully designed. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable doing anything, whether it’s hanging out with friends, having a business meeting, or just enjoying a quiet moment. It’s incredibly cozy (truly one of the coziest spots I’ve ever been in). A perfect blend of comfort and charm—I can’t wait to come back!

The look and feel of a Café with local and fresh flavor. Java Nation rocks. Their breakfast items are always deliciously made. You can feel the love and care put into each plate. I usually have their Huevos Rancheros (which are amazing), so I decided to try an omelet. I have to say, it was a great choice. The Ham and Cheese Omelet with Tomato is delicate and thin, and comes paired with a side of arugula and breakfast potatoes. If you don’t like your eggs cooked soft, ask them to cook them a little more. The coffee is always smooth. Highly recommend their lattes and cappuccinos. Stop by and be delighted!
