A great spot for a quick coffee or a relaxed brunch. The covered outdoor seating and cozy indoor space make it easy to enjoy conversation with friends, a partner, or family, and it’s also a comfortable place to get some light work done on a laptop. The cortado and latte are especially good. Parking is convenient, which is why we find ourselves coming back often.

The coffee here is phenomenal and the food was delicious! My husband had a mocha latte and a veggie goat cheese omelette and I had a vanilla latte with a leak quiche. So good we came back three times throughout our trip. And yes we did order the same thing because it was just that good. The atmosphere is giving cozy cafe vibes. We saw several people enjoying a read or working on their laptops. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is kind and everything comes out hot (unless you ordered iced coffee lol). I wish we had one where I live but we did purchase coffee beans to take so we could make this amazing coffee at home! I would highly recommend this Java Nation!

Food was good. Some things better than others but all decent. Key lime pie was excellent. Ribeye was fatty (not just marbled) for how they cooked it (quick sear on a thin cut so fat didn’t render and had to be cut off) but still enjoyable. Drinks were all good. For the price I would go back.

I’ve been to Java Nation many times, and like the food, coffee drinks, and pastries. The staff are pleasant and service is good.
While it can be crowded inside, the outdoor seating is more spacious and enjoyable, especially in warmer months. I will be back again.

Java Nation is a laid-back, welcoming spot in a great location. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a nice atmosphere and plenty of easy parking, always a plus. There aren’t many cafés like this around that serve quality pastries, coffee and tea, along with alcoholic beverages and cocktails , and casual food all in one place. It’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends, grab a to-go drink, or even get some work done. I highly recommend this place! (Sometimes they have live music)

I recently visited Java Nation and had a great experience. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax. I particularly enjoyed the lime pie and the honey cake—both were delicious. The latte and the flat white were also excellent, with rich flavors and smooth textures. The overall experience was quite positive, and I would still recommend it for its delicious desserts and excellent coffee.

When my total was over $20 for pancakes, 2 poached eggs, and coffee, my expectations for the food went way up. Noticing ice in the 1/2 & 1/2 thermos for coffee, I knew my expectations needed to drop exponentially.

The eggs came out cold, undercooked, and sitting in water. If they’re going to be cold, they should’ve at least been drained.

A true hidden gem on Rockville Pike! For years, passing Java Nation, I thought this was a modest cafe serving pastries and specialty coffee, and oh boy was I wrong! Even prior to entering, the vibrant chatter of the outdoor diners gave an amazing vibe. The setup is to order at the counter, pick up drinks, and go find a table indoors or out doors, where they will bring your food order to you. It was a beautiful spring day, so outdoor seating was available, I am unsure how they deal with weekend brunches during colder months as the indoor area is small. Anyways, on to the food! The French Toast was magnificent with the perfect balance of crispness on the exterior and moistness on the interior. Also, there was that seared butter effect, which makes a well prepared French Toast taste so good. The blueberry pancakes were also tasty and fluffy, but they did need some butter to enhance the flavor in my opinion. For drinks, ordered the Mango Passion Fruit Refresher, which was nice and tart not too sweet and an iced caramel latte, which was solid but required a couple more pumps of caramel upon request. I will be heading back here expeditiously to try their lunch menu and cocktails!

It’s the BEST breakfast place I’ve been to for a while. I ordered the Steak & Eggs and Leek & Gruyere Quiche and they’re perfect. The steak is cooked perfectly. It’s tender and juicy. The sauce is savory but not heavy. The potatoes aren’t oily or too salty and the onion dice are a great addition. This restaurant knows what they’re doing.
