Very neat little coffee shop in downtown Clay Center. Relaxed atmosphere and service was very friendly. My chai tea latte was a little weak but overall good. (Should have asked for more chai.) And the bagel breakfast sandwich was simple and tasty. I don’t go to Clay Center very often, but will stop next time for sure.

We rented this shop again for my daughter’s baby shower and it was a perfect back drop for a beautiful shower.

Happy to edit to 4 stars from 2 based on the owner’s willingness to look into the issue and make adjustments. The drink was an iced caramel latte. The last time I was in it had much more coffee flavor and was darker, so maybe something got missed in the rush this morning.

Used to be a favorite. Not sure what changed. Got 2 drinks and waited awhile. The iced latte was the lightest color I’ve ever seen, much lighter than last time. I couldn’t taste any coffee in it, I could only taste the milk and the flavoring syrup. There were specks of coffee grounds in the bottom so some sort of coffee got added… maybe a single shot? The 2 employees working seemed overwhelmed.

Friendly staff. They definitely are understaffed or need better staff. I’m a little biased because I’ve traveled many places. But the coffee was subpar. Waited 40+ minutes for a quesidilla.
For a small town with not many options, I understand why it attracts.
But as someone who has had many great experiences this is a disappointment.

Went here on a beautiful bright day. Walked in with my partner and was startled when we walked into a large dark cave like room. The walls were a very dark grey color, which greatly muted any of the natural light streaming through the windows. It took forever to order because their ordering interface was a bit confusing for our barista. She was friendly enough, but our coffees were not warm enough when served. Between the off-putting façade and the sub par coffee, wont be back.

While passing through Clay Center on the way to the Center of the US, I stopped off in their Main Street andcame across their coffee shop. The coffe was very strong and flavorful and I ordered a turkey wrap that was very tasty. I plan on taking more trips out this way so I can try their other sandwiches. Good place!

Nice menu. They offer a Flavor of the Day coffee, which is often what I choose. I’ve not had one that I didn’t thoughouly enjoy! Java Junkies employees are polite and efficient. They are very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and make a flavor suggestion upon request. Their prices are on point, and the quality is stellar! If you happen to find yourself in Clay Center and you enjoy a nice coffee, I highly recommend Java Junkies!!

Came in this morning 2 gals working. One doing the majority of the work. The other short dark curly hair girl started making my drink and then went back to coloring. Another lady approached the counter asked for to go containers. Dark haired girl continued to just color on a paper. While the other girl was the one helping. Not the kind of service I’d expect from here.

My sister raves about Java junkies so when I went for a visit we had to walk down there so I could try it. She is right it is great coffee not only that but the owner knows his customers orders and the staff is super friendly. My niece and nephew absolutely love visiting Mike. My husband asks my sister to ship him the cold pour in a growler all the way to California all the time.
