One of my favorite coffee shops. Wonderful vibe and atmosphere. I come here almost every lunch when I work. Sit down and have coffee and a pastry. The staff are warm and friendly and the entire place is kept tidy and clean. Local art which can be purchased adorns the walls. For the life of me, I have no idea how they made the color red feel mellow. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Food for everyone else looks good, but the only real vegan option was a tiiiiiny tofu scramble with a tiiiiiny patty of potato hash DOUSED in oil. It would be very easy to make a gf/vegan crepe with the usual buckwheat ingredients sub flax or something else for the egg. It’s just so discouraging having an ethically motivated diet and seeing accomodations for gluten free everywhere (when the problem is really glyphosate sensitivity) and basically not a care in the universe for animals or people who care about them. Onto somewhere else, hopefully I can find a veg friendlier place for coffee. This just would have been so convenient, 2 blocks from my new place. If the tofu scramble were good it would help.

Loved the atmosphere and ambience and the staff but the food is a little bland compared to many other places serving similar fare. Their green chile soup, for example, does not hold a candle to Cecelia’s. However, there are many healthy options and the price is very reasonable.
