Java House – A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers!
I had such a wonderful time at Java House! The coffee was absolutely amazing—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. Their sandwiches were fresh and delicious, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a cozy lunch.
What really stood out was the atmosphere. They offer locally made items that add a charming, community-focused vibe to the shop. I also loved browsing their book sale, which supports a good cause. And the coffee punch card? Such a fun perk for regulars!

Extremely pleasant coffee shop; suitable for a quick stop or an extended remote-work location.
1. Food: Ordered a mocha with oat milk and the Guaca Morning Sandwich, in a gluten free bagel. The food is pretty good. I loved the creamy mocha, which was not too sweet but just right. GF options are abundant on their menu and that’s always a plus.
2. Service: Top notch in a nutshell. So is the seating area by the window and the fireplace.
3. Ambiance: Very relaxing and quiet around mid-morning hours. The cafe plays Christian praise and worship songs in the background, which was lovely to listen to while working. We need more of that kind of setting elsewhere!!
4. Parking: Plenty of free parking spots across the street.
Overall, I highly recommend this location for affordable food, a quiet atmosphere, and great service.

Luxury Chaos
The inside is soooooo cute. I was surprised. I just wasn’t expecting it. The customer service was good. It’s a great place to chill at if you work from home or if you just wanna get a coffee and chill out and get out the house. The food was underwhelming though, I can admit. The sandwich was a basic sandwich. I was surprised that it didn’t come with any jelly or sauce. I asked for the matcha to be sweet and it was absolutely not. I ended up tossing it. Glad I got to try them out nonetheless.

When they’re good the food and coffee drinks are good, but this place screws up orders way too often. They burn the scones more often than not, and half the time they send a bagel sandwich on a small slice of ciabatta bread instead of a bagel.
If you’re going to go there, go in person so you can catch their mistakes and get them fixed. Don’t pay doordash prices to end up with inedible, burned pastries and bagel sandwiches with no bagels.

Hands down my favorite coffee shop! The menu has a lot of different options for coffee and food, the staff is friendly, and it just has a really cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I love to check out the used books and handcrafted products from local vendors while I’m there, and they’re a Christian business that supports a local pregnancy clinic and holds weekly worship gatherings as well. Definitely a great place to check out! Drinks pictured are the french vanilla and mocha Java kissed smoothies.

Super duper delicious and awesome spot! So happy I found them! Their menu is super robust and filled with fantastic options. The atmosphere is open and airy. They kept it clean, wiping down tables and felt super comfortable. Plus, they came by with a complimentary coffee that they made, asked if we would like it, instead of tossing it. How thoughtful! I appreciate that in customer service. I’ll definitely be back and become a regular here! The food and drinks I ordered were also very delicious, made well and the quality of food product was really good! It went above my expectations. If you’re ever in South Lyon and want a relaxing spot to spend time with a loved one over a light meal and drinks or just to work. This is it! Their wifi is FAST too! Major Plus!!!!

The Java House Café was so much more than I expected. The modern design fooled me as I entered the business.
The inside is all open and inviting. I was drawn right away to the amazing homemade items that lined the left side of the café. Crochet bags/purses, animals, stoneware and jewelry. I just loved the attractive and cozy area by the fireplace to relax and enjoy!
Oh and the coffee and lunch were perfect.
I enjoyed a Mocha Latte and the broccoli cheese soup with a side of bread for lunch. A great choice for this chilly fall day here in Michigan. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating area too. The prices are reasonable for this kind of café.
The friendly and engaging staff is wonderful and charming to chat with. Stop in and relax, you will enjoy the company and yoyr surroundings.

I really love the Chicken Caesar wraps and finally found the perfect place for one ~ mmmm ~ the perfect amount of chicken ~ lettuce (green lettuce!) sauce and cheese. Ohhh it’s so delicious!! I’ve ordered a couple different coffee’s and they are absolutely better than Starbucks and anywhere else in town! Butterscotch is so good. I’ve been ordering through Doordash. The delivery is super quick. The food and coffee will keep me coming back. Thank you all!!
