What a breath of fresh air. Best bar food, great location and excellent service in KC.
If you want a bit of the Cheers experience or the East Coast bar hospitality (read: individually owned, caring real service, no washed out food), come here!
Accessible location and live music nights too

We went with a group of folks to try this place out. We live about 20 minutes away so this is definitely a destination spot, we aren’t normally out in this part of town. Our server was really nice – we had some issues with her forgetting stuff, like we asked for my husband’s beer three different times and it never came. Again, we were with a large group, so I can understand. Aside from that we had great service.

The food was really good, we enjoyed some fried pickles (not pictured), the buffalo chicken wrap, and beef nachos.

This place is worth the drive out. We will absolutely be back.

Love the entire place. Always looking for a restaurant that has outdoor seating. Jaudon Public House did not disappoint. Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service. I had the fried chicken caesar wrap. It was really big and came hot and Fresh Off The Grill with a huge pile of fries which I took half home. My husband had the pork Fritter and fries. He loved it as well. Had a couple of pints of IPA and enjoyed the patio. The bathroom was very clean, too…bonus .

Remember that time you heard Elvis got shot out in Jaudon and your brain quietly filed that town away under “drive faster and don’t make eye contact”?
Same. Deeply same.

Good news. Angie and I finally stopped at Jaudon Public House, the place most of us only experience at about 55 miles an hour while passing between two city limit signs that feel roughly three mailbox lengths apart. Turns out we have all been wildly wrong for a very long time.

Angie ordered a burger. I believe it existed. I assume it was good. I cannot confirm because my entire reality was immediately hijacked by the chicken tenders. Not kids menu tenders. Not freezer bag nostalgia tenders. These were hand breaded in house, perfectly crispy, aggressively juicy, and paired with french fries that clearly went to therapy and got their life together.

I stopped listening. I stopped asking questions. Time became a suggestion.

The atmosphere was actually great. Warm. Comfortable. Calm. Which felt suspicious at first given the local legends and long memories. But nope. Just a genuinely solid place to sit, eat, and enjoy yourself. Our server was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, on top of everything. I do not remember her name because once again the chicken tenders demanded full emotional focus.

And just to be crystal clear for anyone still picturing the past, there were zero Elvis sightings, zero drama, and zero nonsense. Just new owners who showed up, cleaned the slate, and absolutely nailed it.

Here’s the oddly wholesome part. You walk in expecting nothing and walk out full, happy, and wondering why you have been driving past this place your entire adult life. And honestly, that’s the same feeling we aim for in our family real estate business. Slow people down. Make them comfortable. Surprise them in a good way.

Highly recommend. Slam the brakes. Stop driving past it. Order the chicken tenders.

Was good service. Waited a while for our food, but they were pretty busy so it’s understandable.
They messed a few things up with our order, but quickly made them right.
The only part that put a damper on the dinner really was that we were seated in the same small room as a party and, since we were at a long table, we weren’t able to really have conversation with anyone other than who you were sitting next to.
When we left and walked through the main restaurant, it was much quieter, even with a band playing.
They didn’t know how loud the party was going to be so it’s not really their fault, just kind of a bummer to go out to dinner with extended family and not be able to visit.

Finally!! There’s an eatery that has opened in west Belton. Had lunch at the recently opened Public House on Holmes Road (Hwy. D) in Jaudon just south of Loch Lloyd. Nicely decorated in a very country, sports bar atmosphere, there were a bunch of other diners at the lunch hour. There was a limited menu, the food and service were OK and the staff was friendly. Cutting the Public House some slack because it’s new, I trust there will be an improvement on my next experience. I’ll return for dinner and a larger option of food choices. I’ll also investigate the bandstand, as they might have entertainment on the weekend.

What a really neat experience. The ambiance is great. The food was delicious. Service a bit slow, but they were busy so to be expected. Customer service was fantastic. This place is definitely a diamond in the rough, as it is in the middle of nowhere. Which is part of the charm and definitely worth the travel. Great outdoor and indoor seating. Will be going back and would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Went Wednesday night for the time after a recommendation from a close friend. Discount Burger night. Excellent burgers with great flavor. Fries nice seasoned and crispy. The fried mushroom and fried pickle spears appetizers were also well prepared. Mushroom Swiss burger and cowboy burger are our favorites

This place use to be a called the Hideout. Could be a rough place. But these folks have made a real investment and remodel. More of a restaurant bar now . Family friendly. Pretty much just bar foods pizza hamburgers quesadilla’s. We’ve ate here a couple of times now. Has been good. Like the patio alot. Live music on weekends. Little bit of a drive from KC metro. I really hope it’s a success. Be great if they had a steak night.
