Reviews
THIS time it was chilly out and I sought some warm soup or comfort food so I tried the Chicken Pot Pie Bowl (picture attached) it was lovely! The square of Phyllo was light and flaky and the soup was rich and delicious.
Dessert for ALL!!!
Self service kiosk with vanilla chocolate ice cream was the perfect ending
SERVICE> The service is ALWAYS stellar here and the open line is a marvel to observe. There is always a participative team feeling and some lovely individuals coming through quickly flipping tables for the constant stream of hungry patrons. Everyone has a song in their heart here and it shows.
LOCATION> This little gem is truly located in the heart of town right by the Haywood Mall on the perimeter. You can access it from 385 Haywood Road exit or Laurens Road or even I-85 Laurens Road to Haywood. From Pleasantburg take Congaree then right onto Haywood. From Greer/Taylors and the Eastside take Edwards Road, Hudson Road/Pelham/Patewood or East North Street to Haywood.
ATMOSPHERE> This restaurant has a jovial a community feel. It is wonderful for a date, family/group gathering as you order and pay up front so it caters to individual checks.
There is plenty of different seating from tables that seat 2-large parties if pushed together. There are also cozy booths.
Plenty of wheelchair accessible tables.
PARKING> There was plenty of parking
The only thing they need attention is on the employees that are giving the plates for the salad bar. They need to show more customer service. My experience was not that pleasant when I went to ask for a plate for salad bar, the kid who was there gave me a look like if I were asking for free food. He even asked me for the receipt to proof I paid for the salad bar. I understand that we need to give a piece of the receipt to prove that the person paid but THE RUDENESS AND BAD ATTITUDE of this person was not appreciated.
Please training is needed so customers feel respected and welcome.
I will stop in on 3/6 for a complimentary cone. 😉
Several employees were standing at the food station drinking soda out of bottles and cups, and didn’t wash their hands after. The rest were standing around talking while the dining room was a mess.
The worst part however was the Reuben I ordered to go for my mom. There was absolutely zero thousand island dressing on it. It had American cheese on it. Overall it was just terrible and my mom ended up throwing it away. What a waste of $18 just for a sandwich.
who is the manager cleaning the restaurant and making sure the patrons have a pleasant experience. She does a tremendous job and she deserves the highest of praise. Amber you are the best.
I still think their salads are the tastier option, but now you’ve got choices, my friend. And isn’t that what we all want? That and free ice cream, of course.
Thanks, Jason, wherever you are.
