Only thing they need to improve upon js service. There were only 2 ladies working during lunch time. And after they served us food, they were totally busy with their stuff, like we were trying to wave hand so they could see us but nothing. Ultimately we had to go to them on the counter and ask them for water. Please work on your service.
Coming to the food, there were a lot of vegetarian options. What we ordered was way too delicious to leave behind anything. I requested for warm water and they were kind enough to accommodate it.
The soup was just relaxing and the curry puff reminded me of an Indian snack but the best part of lunch was the drunk noodles it was just awesome. So overall the place is definitely worth going back again and again.
Some of our must-haves: the garlic prawns (so flavorful!), Tom Kha soup (perfectly tangy and comforting), imperial rolls (crispy and fresh), chicken satay with that amazing peanut sauce, and of course, pad Thai—always spot on. We also love the papaya salad for something bright and refreshing, and the grilled pork is tender and full of flavor.
And don’t skip dessert! The dessert platter with fresh mango, sticky rice, crispy roti, and coconut ice cream is an absolute dream.
The staff is kind and welcoming, and the service is always great. Whether we’re dining in or picking up, the experience is consistently top-notch. Thai Pepper is a gem in the neighborhood, and we’re so glad we found it!
Rolls were perfectly golden, crispy.
Soup was perfect balance of sweet, sour and spice. Veggies were tender but not raw tasting. Good ratio of broth to veggies and tofu. Same goes for green curry.
Portions were good for the price, which means alot these days. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Restaurant was clean and cutely decorated for the holidays. Overall great experience.
Only feedback is that the egg rolls came out with entree. Would have liked to have it with soup as appetizers. But no harm done.
Drunken noodles 4/5 (Yummy and pretty good)
Green Beans and Tofu (1/5) Had to modify it myself. Basically was oil drenched greens beans and a garlic sauce. The tofu was like basic warmed tofu (not cooked/fried)
Red Curry with Chicken (1/5) Highly filled with coconut milk low flavor.
Rice (5/5) – Hard to mess this one up. Fair overall.
Overall, probably not coming back to this place. 🙁
