Jasmine Restaurant is a cozy delight with bold, comforting flavors. My absolute favorite was the lamb biryani which was rich and aromatic, perfectly spiced. I enjoyed the mohinga fish soup, warming and flavorful, and the kauk swe thoke salad added a fresh, tangy crunch to the meal. Don’t miss their falooda, it’s the perfect sweet treat to end on. Friendly service, great portions, and a menu that invites you to explore. Can’t wait to come back!
We ordered beef fried noodles, tofu salad (the tofu looked like mango!), chicken fried rice, garlic naan, onion naan, and curry chicken. It was a self-serve, we placed our order at the counter and they delivered our dinner to the table. Friendly staff members.
Authentic style, only downside is most seating is outside and if it’s cold you’re just going to have to suck it out!
The chai tea was different to the regular chai I make and drink, worth a try.
Inside is a mini grocery store which has many Burmese style foods 🙂
Keep up the great service.
My partner got the vegetable curry with naan. It was very tasty and a bit salty for me so I think it would have paired better with rice.
I got the shrimp curry and also an order of chicken biryani rice. The spices were on point but the chicken was a bit dry. It actually was an excellent dish to pair with the vegetable curry in my opinion.
Parking was a bit difficult since all I was able to find was street parking.
Seating was limited and would probably recommend getting things to go if it’s busy.
Despite these little things i would definitely recommend going here for some excellent food! Thinking of getting something tomorrow actually….
Parking is free on the street on Sundays, otherwise it’s metered and you have to pay during the week.
Dishes I ordered and liked:
-lamb biryani $18. This is a filling dish that is shareable. It comes with the most tender lamb in a bed of red/orange rice. It was so flavorful.
-cucumber yogurt. I am not sure if this came with the lamb, but it was soooo good.
-peas & naan $6. This was my first time having peas as a dip with naan. It was surprisingly very delicious. The naan was thin and crispy.
-Fish cake salad. I actually don’t see it on the menu, but my friend ordered this. It came with a bowl of soup.
-Myanmar chai $2 for small. This was great hot milk tea. (I didn’t taste the Indian-type of chai)
I love tea leaf salad, so I would want to try that next time. They have neat items in the market.
Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom is in the back.
