I am from Jamaica.
I have tried many Caribbean restaurants from VA to Washington to Maryland. This is the best I have found. The Oxtail was tender, falling off the bone and the seasoning was correct so the flavor was good. The rice was cooked well, no hard grains and the flavor was on point.
The plantain were great, not too sweet so they complimented the meal.
The cocoa bread was perfect and the beef patty tasted authenticate. If I could rate this restaurant higher I would.
The staff was pleasant and polite as well.
Also, I would’ve taken a before picture but the food was just sooo good from the first bite.

not going back
anyways received my meal and got jerk chicken large portion
i got 2 drums and 1 breast, upon eating the the drumsticks, i noticed the breast portion barely had any meat on it. but somehow they gave me a piece that had no meat on it.
anyways my meal was bland and not enough sauce. also my chicken was not tender. very disappointed……

Beef patty 7/10, if fresh out the oven a strong 9.
Pineapple ginger drink 8/10, more ginger for me would make it a 10/10
Stew chicken w/ rice and peas and plantain a 7/10 based on the pepper content made it good to me, gravy needs to be thicker personal preference. Overall I can say I won’t be driving to MD, when Jam & Fam is now right in the area. Will visit again to try other dishes…

The service is fast and friendly, and the food tastes just like home. Portions are generous, everything tastes fresh, and the Oxtails are a must-try. I can’t wait to come back with my friends and family.

Just finished my lunch here. The food was outstanding. I had the curry chicken with rice and peas and I really enjoyed it. It is stated as non-spicy, but it is mildly spicy so just FYI. everything tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it.

The restaurant provides polite service and a short wait. The cleanliness is commendable, and I appreciate that the food is not left out in the open . It always arrives hot and fresh from the kitchen. However, the portion size is not sufficient for the price. Larger portions should be provided for the cost of the plate.

They might have had an off day. The oxtails with rice was tasty yet the oxtail could have been cooked a little longer for better tenderness.
