Social Profile:

Jarrito Loco is a Mexican restaurant in Monument, Colorado, that specializes in authentic Mexican City cuisine. They offer a wide variety of dishes, including fajitas, margaritas, mole, tacos, chiles rellenos, salsa, and breakfast burritos. They also have many gluten-free options. Because we represent south of the border cuisine, you won’t find green chili, chimichangas, and queso dip. We hope Colorado Springs will enjoy the good authentic Mexican food its been lacking for so long.

Jarrito Loco is simply wonderful. The food is always fresh and deliciously prepared. We will order from them again as well as visit them again.

Food was really flavorful. The homemade shells holdup well and make the taco unique. We did the chips and salsa with the variety of salsas which takes it to the next level. We will return for sure. The restaurant was clean and has nice decor

A friend took me here for lunch as a first time visitor. In an older building just off of I-25, so very convenient for access. My friend suggested the salsa sampler to start and I was very impressed. Multiple styles of salsa and the chips were more like tortilla style -thicker and those flimsy chips at other places. Salsas had a great flavor and interesting types. For the main course, I chose the pork burrito and he had the poblano pepper special. My burrito was excellent, side salad included and the red sauce added the perfect touch. The Poblano sandwich that my friend had was a returning special, so he was super excited to eat it again- he is a multi-returning customer!
Decor was a little dated, but that did not take away from the quality of the food. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Will return again on my next trip through Monument.

Oh myyyyy, such a fantastic meal and experience at Jarrito Loco! Angel and Angie, the owners, popped by several times to check on us throughout the evening. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We all pre-ordered the Christmas dish Chiles en nogada which was excellent and presented a very festive plate. You MUST try this restaurant and experience authentic Mexican cuisine from all over the country!

I came in for lunch and ordered the Caldo de Pollo. The vegetables were very good but the broth was bland. The chicken was shredded SADLY and it tastes like days-old chicken. The corn tortillas were very hard and chewy. Not very good. Their chips and salsa were okay, but the green tomatillo salsa is SUPER sour. Tomatillo green salsa is normally sour, but this one was beyond sour. Not a place I’ll come back unless I was in the area. The service was very courteous and fast. I wish they served the whole chicken leg or quarter. They instead use mixed shredded chicken

Awesome restaurant!! This was the best chicken I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant! The inside is beautiful and the staff were really nice. The home made chips were delightful too. The menu had a lot of traditional Mexican options. If I were to recommend someone a restaurant in Monument this would be my number one choice

First time. Fantastic food. Had some chicken tacos with avocado & the steak enchiladas. This place has some of the best rice, love a good rice with my Mexican food.

***A New Benchmark for Mexican Cuisine and Catered Food in Colorado Springs.***

This establishment merits special recognition. As a diner who often reserves five-star ratings for truly exceptional experiences, I must place this restaurant in a category of its own. It is, by a measurable margin, the most impressive local dining and catering operation I have encountered.

The appeal is dual: a delightful dine-in experience paired with an equally capable, high-end catering service. The ambiance is warm and considered, complemented by a service staff led by owner, Angel, the most friendly, informative, helpful, people-loving, humble, confident, pleasant owner that I have ever met, and simply a wonderful human being. His detailed knowledge of ingredients, culinary history, and flavor profiles elevates the service from merely attentive to genuinely informative.

My recent visit, a wedding catering tasting with my fiancée and future mother-in-law, confirmed the reputation that preceded them.

The kitchen’s profound commitment to quality is evident from the first offering: house-made tortilla chips, fried exclusively in beef tallow—a dedicated approach to traditional flavor and the avoidance of seed oils.

Sampling the various sauces was the core of the visit. While the mole was well-executed, three of the sauces were masterful. The entomatada sauce, sampled initially with the chips and later on a classic chile relleno, possessed a delightful, unexpected complexity. The subtle cinnamon note in its profile offered a savory counterpoint to the bright tomato base, resulting in one of the most memorable flavor experiences of the evening. The pork chile pasilla provided a depth of earthiness and richness. Ultimately, the popular Poblano Pepper sauce stood out as the crown jewel, demonstrating exceptional balance, and both the pasilla and poblano sauces were selected for our upcoming catered event.

A noteworthy dish was the white vegetarian chile relleno. Its composition was surprisingly superior to its traditional, non-vegetarian counterpart (which was already amazing!) showcasing the kitchen’s ability to execute refined, meatless options. The meal concluded with an impossible flan that was texturally perfect and beautifully plated.

This is a venue that demands to be part of any serious local diner’s rotation. If you are needing catered food, the synergy of outstanding culinary execution, Angel’s attention to detail, and comprehensive client care positions this operation as unrivaled within the Colorado Springs metropolitan area.

So, my brother and I went here for lunch to try out a new restaurant in the area and it was a lovely experience with amazing service, the atmosphere was beautiful, but I just wished salsa wise we could have had an in-between the tomatillo and the smoky salsa they had. The chicken in the flautas was a bit dry which is why my rating isn’t 5 stats across the board but otherwise still a great place to go especially for their lunch specials.

This is one of our favorite places in the WORLD! Seriously. My husband and I love traveling and trying new food- I’d call us “live to eat” type of people! Because of this, we definitely have strong opinions about service, atmosphere, and quality of food wherever we eat. We are so fortunate that we have the very best Mexican food right down the street! Not to mention, the service is always on point and the staff is WONDERFUL. Jarrito Loco is a must-try, and we take all of our out of town friends and family here so they can have a taste too!
