Came here solo, I just had to try it out after reading that the Valle Omakase chef had created their menu. Just wished he would have maintain quality control also. Great presentation, but the fish cuts (Sashimi’s) were not all that. Salmon tasted like it had been on life support for a few days already. The rest of the cuts were better but not the prime cuts. My eyes went wide open when I saw a couple of cuts come with caviar. They were put in front of me, the explanation said caviar, I then asked about the specifics on the caviar and turned out to be some seaweed imitation caviar. Damn! it was like opening up a Christmas gift unveiling Mac-book box, opening that and realizing the box was recycled and inside was a paper notepad. Wah wah waaah.
Service was good, but in all fairness I had the bar area to my self. In all fairness, maybe I got there two early and i was getting the left over the the previous evening, who knows. But I will have to pay another visit and update at a later time and see if it was a timing issue.

Quindere a real sushi genius from Valle Omakase has assisted in designing the menu and working with the chefs to make totally original and high quality sushi in Ensenada. Its been a long time coming because Ensenada gets the fish but very few good sushi places exist in the city other than Omakase. This place is a cost effective and top notch alternative to going to valle. They make good cuts and seem to understand that fish quality will always be the most important part of sushi. There are some touches to the dishes that you can tell thought went into it. If this place was in San Diego or Los Angeles I would eat here occasionally as well. So kudos and keep up the good work!
PS: A bonus you can ask them to order from Punta Morro next door(which is heated) and get the best of both worlds. The hotel staff is very friendly and both restaurants are excellent. Not to mention a very peaceful view of the ocean.
