Excellent experience at Japanica. The service is outstanding — the staff is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming with a smile.
When ordering online, the wait time is very short; most of the time my order is already ready when I arrive to pick it up, which is super convenient.
Prices are very affordable, making it a great option for lunch on a regular basis. Their lunch specials are delicious, well-priced, and the portion size is perfect for one person with a normal appetite.

Hidden gem!! We now have a new favorite Japanese restaurant! I highly recommend Japanica. Food was DELICIOUS and the restaurant itself is very cute and intimate. Not to mention the cost for 2 for apps, drinks, and sushi was under $50. Server was very kind and attentive and the food was fresh and hot (where applicable). They’re open until 9 or 10 every night so don’t be put off by the way things look outside. It’s warm and inviting inside.

The service was excellent. Our server was patient even though we asked a bunch of questions about what we were eating. The sushi boat was solid and all the fish was fresh. We also got steamed gyoza that had a ton of flavor. Great experience, but the only problem was that we were the only patrons there! To some I bet that’s a good thing though, and to be fair, it was a Wednesday night.

Japanica II Middletown: The ambience of the restaurant was very nice and felt clean and well maintained. The food was well priced and very filling. I personally recommend the sweet potato roll for those who like a somewhat savory taste. The service was also very quick, didn’t have to wait more than 15 minutes.

I love this place. Their sushi is wasn’t expected to really enjoy. It’s hard to find a good sushi spot these days. The place could possibly use alittle upgrade but honestly the food was my most important part especially the sushi. Definitely recommend. Will be coming back.
