For Vicksburg this is one of the best places to eat lunch. 4-stars compared to other cities, but 5-stars here. EZ access off I-20 at Exit 1C – Halls Ferry Road, go South to first traffic light. Turn right, go around the curve, in shopping center across from Kroger grocery store. One of few sit down restaurants here that are open past 2pm for lunch. Today 16 April 2025, I had the Hibachi Steak (tender sirloin chunks, zuchini, broccoli, carrot, and onion) with fried rice (steamed available), miso soup, and iced tea for $15.94. All was quite good. Have had their Udon noodles in the past, which are also good.

Ordered veggie udon noodles. Perfect portion for $10.99. Served hot and it was ready in 10 minutes. Kind person taking my order and knowledgeable about how long it would take and remembered me and gave me the correct order when I came back to get my order. Delicious is an understatement. I’m vegetarian and eat pretty healthy. This wasn’t too oily. This is a great option for on the road to be a little more healthy. You could even call in your order and it would be faster than fast food! Yummy, thank you!

We are passing thru to TX and decided to take an Uber here because we read the reviews. The food was great. Great portions and we are leaving absolutely stuffed!! I would recommend this to anyone passing thru. We ordered 6 meals, 6 drinks and 1 roll. It was $120 for all us.

I’m confused over all the food reviews because I Wasted $60 on family’s dinner. Food looked horrible, and tasted worst. Rice was hard, no flavor and no veg in the fried rice. Basically a plate of brown rice with chicken tossed on top. The cheese in the wontons poured out like water when ripped open or bit into. Almost 24hrs later and still Have an upset stomach, NEVER AGAIN

Always excellent!!! I usually have the salmon & shrimp hibachi with rice and vegetables, with generous amounts of yum yum sauce, along with clear soup. And I usually have the Philly roll, which is sushi with avocado, cream cheese and salmon, with yum yum sauce as well. Friendly staff!!! 5 out of 5 stars.

My son and I enjoy Japanese Express, it’s his favorite place for sushi. The clear soup is excellent. He enjoys the cucumber and avocado rolls, and I like the rest of the sushi, especially the shrimp tempura roll. We don’t eat from the grill, we just never have. It is usually quiet there and I find it a bit dark.

Very slow on cooking when the place was empty. Chicken was bland and rubbery. Steak was decent but unseasoned. Fried rice was burned. Price was expensive for the quality of food. Soup was an embarrassment as it had a single mushroom in it and tasted like chicken stock out of a box.
Go to the grocery store and pick up a premade and save you some time and money.
