Quaint diner in a small town! Kathy was awesome as our server! Everyone was friendly including the guests! Food was on point! Will be back every time I’m in town! Lived here during most of my childhood. You’ll love this town!

This place has the best service I have ever received! I went there 2 days in a row but the first day I had gotten my order To go and within what felt like minutes my food was ready. Day 2 my husband, daughter, nephew, and I went in and sat down (mind you my daughter is 1 and my nephew is 10 months) and we were nervous about staying cause it’s always hectic with 2 babies but Janet I do believe her name is didn’t mind my baby runnin around and playin with toys and greeting all her other customers and nobody in the restaurant seemed to mind what so ever but when I tell you that was the best mom win for me it felt so nice to be able to let my child play while we ate and I knew she was safe as ever it made my heart melt I ended up crying on the way home because I have never been in a restaurant that just felt so welcoming and kind in my life I’ve always gotten stared at when my child gets fussy or if she throws food on the floor but not at Janet’s even tho I offered to pick it up they wouldn’t let me if you ever need somewhere to eat I highly recommend eating here they are just amazing people

Rude customer service. Offered no assistance. Made sure I understand I needed to hurry and order so my waitress could leave. As someone trying to get aquatinted to the area.I will not be spending my daily breakfast here
Honestly it’s a shame because this was the best biscuit and gravy I have ever had

My son and I go for breakfast when we can. But this little restaurant is by far one of the best in the region! You order once the waitress most likely will remember what you like! The food is consistent and always delicious! Kathy the ring leader lol doesn’t mind kiddos running around nor do the other normal patrons heck they even have toys out for kids. My kid was raised on Saturday morning breakfast and I would often call before work and say “hey Kathy it’s Jill ” and 10 mins later she’s grabbing my to-go with a fork so I can have a few bites on my way to work! Hands down best breakfast in town! And cheapest for the down home quality feel. I love this place, give it a try you will too!

Great little spot for breakfast! Kathy, was our server and she was very attentive. The best part were the toys they had available for my kiddos to play with while we were there!

Literally a hole in the wall, small breakfast diner. The food was fantastic. Nothing fancy on the menu, just good food. One of the few times I’ve had true over-easy eggs in a restaurant. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I make a point of eating at Janet’s Kitchen whenever we drive from North Carolina to Wisconsin to visit family. It may be a few miles out of the way off the intersate, but you’ll be glad you made the trip. Food as good as this isn’t as common as it used to be. Portions are generous, reasonably priced and it’s what fresh, home cooked meals used to taste like. And if you happen to be there for breakfast, order the pork sausage….it is so unbelievably delicious!

I stumbled upon this little gem of nostalgia. Riding down the interstate I pulled off thinking I was going to have breakfast at the “Farmhouse”. Nope. Doesn’t open for breakfast. My fortune saved. Janets Kitchen is great food. Really inexpensive. Kind patrons gave me good directions how to go around the wreck on the interstate. Win win! Lose Farmhouse!

Fastest homemade breakfast in town–and the prices are great! Complete with BS- er table for local regulars, this down-home jewel in Rensselaer will get your neck fed and get you back on the road. Big thumbs-up!
