Edit: they brought back a version of the french toast they used to have. But it’s not the same. I liked the previous version better. Still worth trying for anyone who likes french toast. I give it a 3 out of 5. I’ve also tried the cinnamon toast waffles. I give those a 3.5 out of 5. Pretty good from what I remember.
Jane Q is still an awesome place and the staff has always been friendly, so they can keep my 5 stars.
As for dinner, it didn’t go so well. We had to pay upfront and I had forgotten to even give a tip. They said there was no military discount either.
Once we got our food, I had the veggie lasagna and it was good. I tried the lobster spaghetti. The lobster was rubbery and cold and so were the tomatoes. Also the plate says fennel but I didn’t taste any (I actually don’t like fennel).
Overall this place is great but needs to be more consistent in their food quality and service. I will be back to give them another try.
I was torn on what to get a lot of the items on the menu just were not doing it for me. I am not a picky eater but I did not pre look at the menu assuming there would be something. Well it came down to the summer corn & lobster ravioli as the waitress suggestion so I went with it.
Then she came back to tell me they had no lobster so they were substituting shrimp. (Fine). My husband got a pizza (he is picky).
Once we got our food it was terrible.
I felt like ingredients of my ravioli were just thrown together to make a dish, not even sure they went together. The tastes were just so combative, you get 6 pieces of ravioli for $35!
The pizza was so flat, no taste, and the sauce was so runny everything just slipped off.
We just kinda picked through what we could, but would not recommend this place to anyone for dinner at the very least.
I’m sure drinks or coffee and maybe breakfast is fine. But overall nothing looked or tasted good and it came out giving the same impression. Maybe should’ve gotten and overpriced salad. B it overall I have no good impressions here. I would have rather got fast food for how much we spent.
We will not come back here.
60 dollar breakfast, which was not tastly and had small portions.
The $6 extra side of hashbrows was a joke.
The bacon was like cardboard
By the time our drinks were ready, we had already finished eating.
Dont waste your time or money
