The core BBQ (Pulled Pig, Brisket and Ribs) were fantastic and worthy of 5 stars. The Mac N Cheese wasnt bad, nice hints of smoke. We tried the Galbi Beef ribs and Duck Breast as well. The flavors were good, but some of the beef ribs were chewy. The duck was chewy and tough. These were the items that dropped the ratings.

I visited Jane BBQ in Sage Hill and overall the food was okay. The flavours were decent, but the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. For what you pay, you expect a bit more on the plate. The service was fine and the place is clean, but the value just wasn’t quite there for me. Not a bad spot, just not sure it’s worth the cost for the amount of food you get.

First off, I started serving the rice to my 4-year old before the pic but I was happy with the portions and the pricing. Seems to be on par with BBQ restaurants in Calgary. The proteins were great. My daughter really liked the chicken and pulled pork. I enjoyed them along with the rice and coconut cornbread. I actually liked that the sauces were pre-packaged. It’s a take-out restaurant. It cuts down on time and any potential mess transporting the sauces. I ordered through their site at 5:59 and it was ready by 6:19- ten minutes early!
I definitely want to try the brisket and if I wasn’t finishing up some birthday cake from my celebrations earlier this week, I’d have gotten dessert. That will also be for another time.
I got a can of iced tea that I’m gonna add to some Wray and Nephew this weekend. I feel with the mango and the ginger, it’s really gonna hit.
I gave it three stars because of the Mac and Cheese. It tasted kind of off. Like sour but Smokey; but also like the torch or whatever is used to brown the cheese. I can’t quite put my finger on it.
I know that this is a new location and there are kinks to work out. I would try it again

Sadly our experience here was not great. Since the Sage location has opened, I’ve been wanting to try it after hearing great things about the South Jane Bond BBQ location. The front end staff were very friendly and polite. The sides were excellent, we had the coleslaw and mac and cheese and both had great flavour. Unfortunately the brisket was a bit tough, and the fat didn’t quite seem fully rendered. The pulled pork was not bad. Cost wise, it seems to be near the going rate for BBQ here, but sadly the quality was a bit lacking. Maybe just caught an off day, will probably still try the South location if I’m ever down that way.

Great service, lovely girl who was working today. The meat was fantastic but my boys who normally love corn on the cob said they didnt like how over cooked it was. And the potatoes that cost 7.50 are about a quarter of a cup of potatoes so that wasn’t liked. But I still would leave an awesome review for the service and atmosphere and all the meat in the hangry meal and my husband loves all the sauces and we will still order here again but just order meats and corn bread from now on. Maybe there are other sides that my boys would like better. We will see cuz we will definitely go again

First time dining here and I loved it! I tried the smoked brisket with creamy sesame slaw—absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and the staff, especially Brigitte, Shunma, and Parkash, were amazing.

I have done both dine in and take out here. Both times we have ordered the Bond platter and it was delicious. When we died in, the Staff was very busy but still make sure to check in on us. It was just two people working and not once did we have to ask for a water refill.
The second time we got take out. I was a little worried that the brisket would dry out on the way home, but it was just fine. From the time I picked up to the time I sat down and ate was about 30min. Food was still hot and delicious.
The two staff members were fantastic and I will definitely be back!

The beef brisket Po boy is delicious! First off, they nailed the texture – the meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender. Flavor? Tons of delicious smokey flavor paired with a BBQ sauce that helps the meat shine further instead of trying to steal the show.
This place just opened this month but I’ve already been like 3 times. Super stoked to have such a high caliber food joint in the NW.

We had 1lb of the brisket which was a fan favourite across. On top 1.5 lb of ribs which were also fall off the bones. And another 1lb of the lunar short ribs which were good and sauced up nicely. This fed 4 hungry bellies and we had left overs. We didn’t try any of the sides tho, and instead opted for homemade ones.
If there was option to pick 3 meats plus some sides for a better price, it would attract more people I think – think of it as a “build your own platter” for $95 or something. Some of the platters that are available already don’t have the meats that would interest us. Would make sense since this is more of a take out place.
Overall great and will be coming back. Maybe next time will do dine in since there were some tables and seating available.

First visit to Jane’s and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!! BBQ is impossibly delicious and top quality. Friendly and pedestrian atmosphere with proud staff and welcoming service!! The beans, crawfish and the ORIGINAL sweet tea are my favourites!!
