I am speechless at how good this place is. Everything is gluten free!
You can’t tell it’s gluten free!! So good. They sell ice cream, sorbet, milk shakes, root beer floats, brownies, and cookies.
The owner/manager (a slim and pretty caucasian woman) is extremely nice. We were greeted with smiles and asked if it was our first time. It was mine and she gave an overview of the place. I have a wheat allergy among other gluten free ingredients. She helped me avoid my allergens. I got cookies and cream ice cream in a waffle cone bowl. I took one bite and ordered another cup and a bag of waffles cone pieces.
I can’t articulate how good the waffle cone is. It’s the best I’ve had both regular and gluten free. It’s so good I wanted to cry. They use Krusteaz flour blend for the cones.
I went back the next day and got another two scoops of cookies and cream in a held waffle cone.
The price is somewhat high but 100% worth it.
My only complaint is that they don’t have a location in Virginia.

As a Celiac human, it was wonderful to find a place that’s safe to eat anything! The ice cream was really good, and the waffle cone cup was delicious too. I’ll definitely return! There’s also a dairy free option of ice cream for those with that allergy. Definitely a good place for a fun stop!

Family owned microcreamery in Smyrna, best ice cream my family has ever had. They make the waffle cones in house. Hands down my favorite part of visiting Janarty’s is the waffle cones. What a wonderful ice cream shop that also serves some great coffee! This ice cream shop did not disappoint. They said they make at least 8 different flavors every day. Between the four of us who went there today we tried the double chocolate, orange spice, candy spice, cookies and cream and Andy’s chocolate. All were so creamy and delicious. Their staff is so nice. We spoke to the owners, Marty and Janelle, about their ice cream. You could tell that the quality of their ice cream is important to them. They seemed to love what they do and you can tell by the quality of their product. We travel from Arizona to Massachusetts each year for my husband’s work and Janarty’s now rates as one of our favorite ice cream shops. We will definitely come back . We highly recommend Janarty’s to anyone living in the area or just driving through. EXCELLENT Customer service and ice cream!

I cannot even begin to imagine why this place doesn’t have a solid 5 star review. Not a single note, this place is perfection. The ice cream is flawless. The flavor selections are always a perfect mix of classic and adventurous. The owners and employees are as sweet as the treats. Speaking of treats, they also have little goodies like brownie bites and rice crispy treats and such here and there. I love to pair my ice cream with a cup of 8&R coffee too, which they also sell at the shop. People cannot go wrong here. If you happen to be needing gluten free items, you’re also in the right place because everything is safe! My only warning is you’ll want to come back every day. Thank you to this team for providing such a wonderful space to find joy in an otherwise difficult world.
