During my visit, I ordered their banana leaf set, egg kalaki, plain briyani rice, and mutton kurma. The banana leaf set was good and came with a variety of side dishes and curries, and the refillable portions made the meal even more satisfying.
The egg kalaki had soda infused in it, which made the texture softer, but I found it a little muak after a few bites. The plain briyani rice was fragrant and light. As for the mutton kurma, it wasn’t the kurma taste I expected the gravy leaned more towards a buttery flavour rather than the usual spiced kurma profile. The mutton was tender, but the taste was slightly different from traditional kurma.
The drinks , sirap limau ice and black coffee were normal. The ambience was pleasant and comfortable, and the service was good, with attentive staff despite the busy crowd. The overall bill came to RM72, which is on the higher end as expected.
Although the meal didn’t fully match my personal likings, the signature banana leaf set was enjoyable, and I think it’s worth trying some of their other dishes on another visit.
We enjoyed aromatic and creamy Methi Chicken (yellow curry), and the Half Vegetarian Platter with grilled paneer, baked spiced broccoli and vegetable cutlets. The Lacha Paratha and Cheese Naan are delicious and great to eat with curry.
Service is casual and efficient. The setting is simple but welcoming.
And the taste? Seriously, I really enjoyed everything we ordered. But the highlights of the night for me were definitely the masala tea – you know how much I love that! – the pani puri, which was just perfect, and the butter chicken with cheese naan… that combination was heavenly! Oh, and let’s not forget the mutton briyani – so flavorful!
I’m already planning my next visit in my head to try out more from their menu. Plus, the atmosphere of the restaurant was really great, and our waiter was fantastic. He was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our entire meal. Seriously, they’re doing a great job there! Definitely adding this place to my ‘must-return’ list
Lovely food.
Instead, I ordered Naan Cheese with Chicken Tandoori. There weren’t many single meal options, so I went with what they had. The portion was too big to finish, so I took the leftovers to go.
Overall, the food was good, though the prices are a bit high.
The staff are also attentive and helpful
The lunch sets are value for money as the base banana leaf is great add on plater with the curries . Options of both norther or southern Indian sets.
Excellent value for money and good service . Highly recommend.
