I visited Jamun Restaurant at Glo Damansara around 11am and the place was already packed, which clearly shows how popular it is among diners in the area. Even before the usual lunch rush, most of the tables were already taken, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand if you plan to dine here.

During my visit, I ordered their banana leaf set, egg kalaki, plain briyani rice, and mutton kurma. The banana leaf set was good and came with a variety of side dishes and curries, and the refillable portions made the meal even more satisfying.

The egg kalaki had soda infused in it, which made the texture softer, but I found it a little muak after a few bites. The plain briyani rice was fragrant and light. As for the mutton kurma, it wasn’t the kurma taste I expected the gravy leaned more towards a buttery flavour rather than the usual spiced kurma profile. The mutton was tender, but the taste was slightly different from traditional kurma.

The drinks , sirap limau ice and black coffee were normal. The ambience was pleasant and comfortable, and the service was good, with attentive staff despite the busy crowd. The overall bill came to RM72, which is on the higher end as expected.

Although the meal didn’t fully match my personal likings, the signature banana leaf set was enjoyable, and I think it’s worth trying some of their other dishes on another visit.

Nice Indian restaurant serving North and South Indian food. Lunch sees diners enjoying banana leaf rice with variety of curries.

We enjoyed aromatic and creamy Methi Chicken (yellow curry), and the Half Vegetarian Platter with grilled paneer, baked spiced broccoli and vegetable cutlets. The Lacha Paratha and Cheese Naan are delicious and great to eat with curry.

Service is casual and efficient. The setting is simple but welcoming.

So, my siblings and I were planning a get-together, and my brother picked this restaurant. I have to say, just looking at the menu online, everything sounded so good! When we finally got there and the food started arriving – wow! Just like in the pictures, it was all so beautifully presented, absolutely eye-pleasing. And the aroma? My mouth was watering before I even took a bite!

And the taste? Seriously, I really enjoyed everything we ordered. But the highlights of the night for me were definitely the masala tea – you know how much I love that! – the pani puri, which was just perfect, and the butter chicken with cheese naan… that combination was heavenly! Oh, and let’s not forget the mutton briyani – so flavorful!

I’m already planning my next visit in my head to try out more from their menu. Plus, the atmosphere of the restaurant was really great, and our waiter was fantastic. He was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our entire meal. Seriously, they’re doing a great job there! Definitely adding this place to my ‘must-return’ list

Great North Indian restaurant! If you like D’Tandoor, you’ll enjoy this. Butter Chicken, sotong, chicken 65, bitter gourd and Mutton were all delicious. The sotong was a lil bit soggy that day. But was alright. Prefer the one at Raju’s. They have a variety of set lunches and meals as wella as a wide selection of vegetarian options. Service is good as the staff are friendly and efficient. Apparently the naan is good but we didn’t have it this time. Highly recommended here.

Went there hoping to have banana leaf rice on an empty stomach, but didn’t realize it’s only served from 11am to 3pm. I’ve had it before and wanted to try it with fried chicken this time. Love their crab curry – so flavorful! Mission unaccomplished.

Instead, I ordered Naan Cheese with Chicken Tandoori. There weren’t many single meal options, so I went with what they had. The portion was too big to finish, so I took the leftovers to go.

Overall, the food was good, though the prices are a bit high.
The staff are also attentive and helpful

Scrumptious South Indian banana leaf and its add ons. The prawn varuval was worth it about 5 big prawns in a tasty sambal. Also got the bindi and aubergine masala, both gravies tasted similar. The indoor seating was loud but cooling. The waiters don’t notice you much bc there’s a lot of things going on in a small space, but when they do, the service by them is pretty good. Gulab jamun was fine and the fresh lime juice was perfect for the banana leaf meal!

This is my regular place for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu is great and it has lighter portions of most of the popular rotis which are our regular staple for Malaysian.

The lunch sets are value for money as the base banana leaf is great add on plater with the curries . Options of both norther or southern Indian sets.

Excellent value for money and good service . Highly recommend.

I stopped over at the Jamun Restaurant after doing some archery on the third floor. The food was good and the customer service was exceptionally good. Again, I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone
