We were traveling to another area of town for work and stopped at this little place for lunch. I was honestly looking for something other than standard American food, and wanted some flavor! Right now it is primarily take out, but there are tables and chairs available if you’d like to eat in. It has so much potential to expand and grow! The owner and his wife are welcoming and happy to share what they had to offer.
The menu is simple, you choose your protein and it automatically comes with sides. Based on what we saw, this is typically cabbage and rice and beans. The rice and beans was such a pleasant surprise, you can tell it is cooked with coconut (a nice healthy fat) that lifts the simple side to a more tropical place. There’s also dumplings, plantains and more if you’d prefer something else. We got the curry chicken and the jerk chicken (both fall of the bone juicy), though I was excited to see oxtail and goat on the menu. I loved that the traditional stews were represented as well, but they were out! So we will have to order food again.
Curious about the hot sauce, he offered us some of his to try on the side. It packs a punch! But was very delicious. We also ordered some Maize Dumplings (I can’t recall the name unfortunately), they were served in a curry sauce. It was very comforting and unique – though apparently a common Jamaican staple.
I’d encourage people to give this place a try, it was so tasty!

Tonight I ordered jerked chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage and it was soo DELICIOUS!! Everything had so much flavor, the portion was large, the staff was extremely friendly, and it was honestly the best meal I have had in a long time! If you are looking for some authentic Jamaican food, I highly recommend stopping by and ordering some food. I can’t wait to go back!!

My husband and I have ordered takeout here twice so far. The first time we ordered the Jerk chicken with the rice and peas and steamed cabbage. Everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Our next order was the oxtail dinner with rice and peas and fried plantains with The Jamaican cornbread. Again the food was all prepared and seasoned so beautifully. I’m traveling for work and was on interstate 80 found this place only 6 MINUTES away. Walked in and was greeted warmly by the owners and their children. Food was AMAZING!!!!! 10/10 flavor was there. They just started up this business and it’s definitely something you have to try!!!! I got the oxtail with Mac n cheese and cabbage.

JamSpot is absolutely amazing! I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was completely blown away by the food. I ordered the Brown Stew Chicken and my wife had the Oxtails both were a solid 10 out of 10!
The flavor, the rich sauce, and the generous sides (rice and peas and cabbage) were all perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every single bite.
Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was quick our food came out fresh and hot.
