If you’re not afraid of seasoning and a dash of heat you should consider checking out JamRock Grill in the Ollie’s plaza in Palm Bay. This is our second time ordering. They have officially replaced my old Jamaican restaurant favorite. This location has a large indoor seating area.
My go to favorite is the jerk chicken plate. We have tried their jerk chicken wings (10/10 – never had wings this good and crispy), and Jerk pork (10/10 – soft and tender) as well. The quality of the meat you get has been great, juicy and perfectly cut!
[Which is a plus because I used to grab Jamaican food from another local restaurant who had a big hit or miss on the quality of the food with being dry/reheated]
Flavor? You can tell they don’t skimp on seasoning and I will recommend to bring tissues if you a wimp when it comes to spice because your nasal cavity will thank you for giving it a flush the rice is fluffy and fresh. My favorite which is their steamed veggies which consists of cabbage and mixed veggies lightly seasoned and not over nor under cooked.
They offer a lunch special so today we called ahead and grabbed two meals for under $16! Highly recommend and heads-up call ahead before you go. It’s not a quantity it’s a quality type of restaurant so you may not get what you were craving unless you call to make sure.

I ordered curry chicken. I spent most the meal picking bones out of my mouth, it was like eating oxtail. Very little chicken and mostly bones. The flavor was off as well. Neither the rice nor the chicken was seasoned well. The cabbage was bland and the whole meal was lacking but fairly expensive. If you can’t get great curry chicken from a Jamaican restaurant well what then?

They’ve always gave small meat portions but I went there from time to time bc it’s close to the house. Went there last night 45mins BEFORE THEY CLOSE and they rung up my order only to tell me they had no sides so the guy from the back tried to offer me extra rice. I didn’t want extra rice bc they already give too much rice & little meat as it is so I asked for extra meat, the guy talking about no that’s another level or something crazy like that. So I asked for a refund and they lost a two plate order. What poor customer service to one, not inform me you had no sides before charging my card. Two, then to try n make it right by giving me more rice… Like what are you saving meat for 45 mins before you close that you couldn’t add an extra scoop of meat to a order, you rather lose a sale and resell your cooked meat the next day??!! And ppl say support local business. SMH. It be ya own ppl that act weird towards you and wonder why ppl don’t support you. Will never get my money for their mediocre food again.

I ordered the large oxtails plate is was tasteless, they gave me 5 small oxtails the rice wasn’t done and taste like grease

For yall to be the only Jamaican restaurant within a 5-8 mile radius. For the love God STOCK UP, you all are always out of something especially stew peas and pork. ONLY Jamaican restaurant that constantly tells you they are not serving stew peas today like what kind of Jamaicans are yal.

This restaurant is close to where I live so I figured I would give it a try. My first order was a couple months ago and I ordered the stewed chicke, it was okay, notthe greatest by any stretch, but it was edible. I also noticed how small the portions were for the price I paid. I wasn’t sure if I’d go back, but then this past weekend I decided to give them another try. I ordered a small curry chicken and small fry chicken, this was $34! I requested no veggies since they use that as a filler. For what I paid the food portion was really small and the flavor wasnt there. Rice and peas was a bit dry. I’m done spending my money here. Their food is not great and they charge also. Do yourself a favor and try somewhere else.
