Jammin Island BBQ is a subsidiary of Antillian Trading Company, which began its sports arena ventures in 2009 in the DMV area, providing food services with a tropical, cultured and exotic twist. Former vending locations include DC United (seasons 2009-2016), Baltimore Ravens (season 2011), Washington Commanders (seasons 2010-2015) and the Washington Nationals (seasons 2011-2018). Jammin’ Island notably brought Washington DC sports concessions to the next level by offering select West Indian and Latino Cuisine to ballpark patrons. Our trademark Jammin’ Jerk Sauce which is used to marinate our signature jerk chicken, pork ribs and sandwiches has become a fan favorite. THE SECRET IS IN THE SAUCE!

My gosh, the food here is incredible. I don’t usually step outside my comfort zone with new cuisines, but I’m genuinely glad I tried this spot. It is a true mom and pop place, with the owner cooking from his own family recipes, and you can taste the love in every bite.

The flavors hit perfectly: fresh, spicy, sweet, and bold without feeling heavy. Portions are generous, prices are better than the big chain restaurants, and the quality is on another level.

I am so glad I finally have something I know I will enjoy when I bring the family to the mall. This place makes the trip worth it.

If you are searching for authentic home style cooking, local hidden gems, or family owned restaurants with real flavor, this spot deserves a visit.

The customer service is outstanding.

I met the Chef Shelia!! She was nice and I just had to say thank you to her and her Husband Dave!!

I give them business almost 2x a week (no exaggeration) and drive from NorthLaurel just to get my favorites which is a list: jerk ribs, jerk chicken, curry chicken, salmon, and award winning macaroni and cheese! They never disappoint and go over and beyond with samples before you even purchase, as to avoid ANY negative feedback because when you pay, you already know what to expect. Each and every time I visit I am amazed they are located in a food court at the mall because their authenticity and flavor belongs in a 5 star restaurant. To the owners of JIB, please do not move based on my feedback because I love your prices as well !

This spot is a STAPLE. No joke, when they were switching to a different part of the mall I thought they closed down so I stopped coming to the mall. But then I realized they reopened I ordered two meals because I was so excited! The oxtail is banging and so is the jerk salmon and shrimp. Every single side is incredible!

The Ribs…STAMP!! Tender, meaty with well seasoned mildly spicy sauce!!

The Chicken…LIKE THAT!! Sliced breast, grilled spicy jerk taste!!

The Mac n Cheese…DELICIOUS. Tasty but I needed a tad bit more flavor.

The Greens…DECENT. Cooked thoroughly, but I needed some more flavor.

Their Oxtail Platter (with rice & beans, cabbage, & another side of plantains $18.99). All DELICIOUS!! Tender tail, tasty cabbage, & rice!!

The Plantains…LIKE THAT!! Seasoned & cooked well!!

Their Salmon & Shrimp Combo (jerked with Yucca, sauce, & plantains $21.99). STAMP!! Their jerk sauce is ON POINT!! So lather that on some well cooked salmon, & shrimp…WINNING!!

Their Strawberry Lemonade ($2.75). DELICIOUS!! Sweet, & tasty!!

I’ve grown to really like this Jamaican restaurant, located in Springfield Town Center. It’s a bit of a drive from where I live, but when I’m in the area, I always stop by. The curry chicken with rice and peas, mac and cheese, and greens is my go-to order, and I sometimes add plantains. Their strawberry lemonade is also a refreshing favorite. Overall, I highly recommend this place, it’s a solid 10 out of 10.

New location near the escalators at Springfield Town Center mall. Not fast food so it takes a bit of time to get the food BUT it’s freshly cooked delicious food! Worth the wait. Got the Jerk Burger/ Yucca Fries and Jerk Chicken/ Mac and cheese.

This food was so darn delicious. The jerk sauce was perfect wasn’t salty at all like how jerk sauces usually be. It was not hot but spicy which is how I love it. So much flavor! Eat everything together lol

Curry chicken with vegetables and rice extra gravy my wife had the fried salmon on cocoa bread was actually impressed with the quality of food the freshness everything was hot the mall is not my favorite but I do find myself going there for jammin island BBQ..sits in left corner of the food court definitely give it a try
