Never had Syrian Cuisine before, and now I can’t wait to try it again. The hummus is out of this world good. The cheese rolls were light, delicious, and served with pickled onion and banana pepper. Jallab old fashioned is a great twist on a traditional old fashioned, as well as the Tangy Sumac Margarita. 10/10 I will be coming back here.

An absolute gem. The food was rich, comforting, and full of flavors. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and carefully prepared. The spices were beautifully balanced, not overpowering, but deeply flavorful. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here last month! I truly cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant. Everything from the service to the food was warm and inviting. I hope this place becomes a permanent fixture in Gettysburg! We are having dinner tomorrow with family at Jamilies and are looking forward to trying new dishes! Came here for dinner and had to try the dessert labeled ‘Magically’ on the menu. We paired it with the pistachio booze (shoutout to Gemini for the recommendation!), and it was surprisingly incredible. Truly a magical ending to a great meal!

We stumbled upon this gem as we passed through Gettysburg and boy were we blown away! The atmosphere was warm and attractive, staff, friendly and service, impeccable. The FOOD was WOW! Fresh, flavorful and authentic, this meal took us back to our trip to Jordan and my mother in law’s kitchen. So many unique dishes that you won’t find in every Mediterranean or Middle Eastern restaurant. This place is a destination. Wish we lived closer and could be regulars!

We had dinner at Jamilies Syrian Kitchen this past weekend in Gettysburg and it was delish!! We got the hummus which was a beautiful work of art in and of itself and the lamb and mixed kebabs.I ordered the Rosewater Lemon Drop martini which was yummy! I got pics of the hummus and drink but when the kebabs arrived I totally forgot to take a pic because they kinda went down the hatch real quick! LOL And the rice was excellent – wish we had this restaurant in our hometown! Jenna was wonderful and did a fantastic job of taking care of us

A lovely meal on my way out of town. I tried the muhammara which was not spicy as I expected per the menu description, but was absolutely delicious nonetheless. The bread served alongside was warm and pillowy, it was so tasty. The sambousik lahme were incredible – the dough was delicious but the beef filling was incredible, and loved the pickled veg served alongside, it was a nice contrast to the richness of the meat. I also had a glass of the Pink Chateau Ksara Sunset Rosé, which pared so nicely with the meal. Loved my first experience of Syrian cuisine.

I’ve eaten at basically every restaurant in Gettysburg, and this is the best meal I’ve ever had! I can’t explain how good this food was, our experience was an 10/10! and the owner came up to us and thanked us for eating there, it was so lovely!! If you like pistachio, get the pistachio ice cream!

My trip to Jamilie was very good! The food was amazing! Walking in, the decor, music, and ambiance brings you straight to the Middle East. You are greeted with the culture of the restaurant when you enter, which is an amazing touch! The service staff was extremely friendly! I thought it was great to have this addition to Gettysburg with some international flair! Some of the spirits and wines are imported from Syria, per the menu. The menu was very detailed so that you could maybe learn bits and pieces of a new language, at the same time as understanding what you were ordering.
On to the food – everything was amazing! Huge portions of starters and entrees! The cocktails are spectacular as well. I had the honor of meeting the GM, Anton, who was super kind, and we had great conversation about the history of the restaurant, the chef, staff, and influence. A great experience, and I definitely will return on my next trip to Gettysburg!

Wow! As a Gettysburg local, there are great food options in town but if you’re looking for an elevated dining experience with fantastic food you have to give Jamilie a try. We were delighted by the authentic Syrian options and quality of our meals. You really get to dive into the heart of the restaurant when exploring the menu. We tried a few different dishes and loved everything that came out. It was, fresh, warm, and homemade. We are already planning to take our families back as soon as possible. Highly recommend!!
