The food here is absolutely phenomenal! The first time I went, I ordered the smothered turkey wings — and listen, when I say they were fall-off-the-bone tender, I mean they melted in my mouth. One bite had me hooked! It was so good, I literally went back the very next day for round two.
Then I decided to try the gizzards and chicken… OMG! “Flavorful” doesn’t even begin to describe it. Every bite was seasoned to perfection — crispy, juicy, and packed with bold, unforgettable taste.
By the fourth day (yes, fourth day!), I had to see what else they could do, so I ordered the catfish plate — and it was nothing short of amazing. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and fried just right.

The Food is soooo delicious and taste freshly made! I really enjoy it and the greeting I get when picking up my orders. They know how to safely prepare the vegetables for their vegetarian clients. I feel comfortable eating here because I don’t worry about getting something I’m allergic to or if they prepare it separately from the meat products. Also, the personable greeting they give you each time is warm and inviting, which makes me and my family always wanting to return again. Wonderful!!!

EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. Customer service was right away informative Shecwas nice smiling. The food was good very hot/seasoned well. The menu diverse enough for vegetarian as well. The location is not favorable to the business because they to my opinion are a bit ducked off. I wish I knew before that they were super close to my job never knew but happy now I’ll definitely be one of the regulars. I ordered fried chicken greens and cornbread and meat loaf by itself. Priced:22:30$ Great price great food will most definitely be back.

2025: Moved to a new location. Was glad to find that it had moved instead of closed down. Outdoor seating only, order at the counter. Service is still fantastic. I think I enjoyed the chicken and the ordering line at the old location better, but this is still very tasty. Did not get our cornbread though…
2024: Set inside the Sunoco gas station with a long table for seating. Order at the bar and then pay at the side island, prices are also updated on the board at the side. The fried chicken and desserts are fire, specials on Mondays are also good.

This review is based solely on my experience… we were visiting Alabama when we decided to try this place and our reviews about it is a mixed bag. The gizzards had good flavor, but fried wayyy too hard – now let’s talk about the fish or what was supposed to be catfish. No ma’am no sir !!! Why do restaurants lie about having catfish? Needless to say it was not catfish at all I’m not sure if it was swai or what, but it was disgusting and we threw it away along with our money that was spent to buy it. People please stop getting over on your customers and serve what is stated on your menu. If you all are going to sell something other than catfish just put the fish you are REALLY serving customers on the menu ♀️ how hard is it?

I would follow this family to the ends of the earth! They are friendly and attentive. You can’t beat their Nashville Hot Chicken with Okra and Yams. I haven’t had a bad meal yet.

I was in Meridianville for an errand and suddenly developed a craving for fried chicken. I Googled “fried chicken” and this place popped up with 5 star reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It’s inside the Sunoco and the owner said he’d been in business almost a year. The food was excellent, all the right flavors and cooked to perfection. Having grown up in the South, I can tell you that this meets and surpasses all the criteria for Southern food. The fried chicken was moist and tender, with a perfect crispy crunch to the outside. The yam side dish was sweet and nicely seasoned with brown sugar (or something similar) and the appropriate spices – like Thanksgiving dinner! The mac cheese was just out of this world – his grandmother’s recipe, I was told! Everything was fresh (I arrived right at opening) and hot, and so very tasty. You are missing out if you don’t give this a try. Friendly staff and delicious southern cooking – a winning combo.

This is the best soul food in Huntsville, AL!!! I want to gate keep and not share this hidden gem, but this wouldn’t be fair not to share. I devoured the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens!! I also ordered the chicken gizzards, the most tender I have ever had and fried to perfection!!! I also, got the banana pudding and peace cobbler, grandma level good!! I indulged in very big back activities today and once you have them you will understand why!! So what are you waiting for, get in the car and come on.
