This was after a funeral service held around the corner
Jameson’s was a great way to finish a celebration of life that day, however it is equally as impressive when used for dinner to birthdays to anniversaries
This location with it’s rich environment and well stocked bar to the extremely diverse selection main courses handled last evening well
The one thing with no easy solution is a shortage of table space. From those of us that are moving slower these days due to natural aging to those with reduced mobility brought on by injury or illness
I am sure Jameson’s would welcome an extra 10% between tables
Last night’s Filet Mignon was incredibly tender while the beef ka-bob over rice was extremely flavorful
If you are in the Arlington Heights area give Jameson’s a try
The steaks were cooked to perfection, and with bread, soup, and salad included, it was definitely worth the price. I did receive a bad glass of wine, but it was replaced immediately without any hesitation — great customer service.
Five stars from us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Jameson’s Original Charhouse has a timeless, old-style charm that pairs beautifully with the live music, making it an ideal spot for a romantic night out. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a classic steakhouse vibe that’s hard to find these days.
I ordered a steak medium, and while most of it was cooked properly, the portion closer to the bone was unfortunately undercooked and nearly raw. I also requested the blue cheese crust, which was initially missing but added later upon request. Despite this hiccup, the flavor and quality of the food were good, especially considering the price point.
Service was excellent attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. Overall, it’s a solid dining experience if you’re looking for a traditional setting with good value, but make sure to clearly communicate how you want your steak cooked to avoid any surprises.
The server’s attitude during the evening was not particularly attentive or welcoming. Nevertheless, we paid our bill in cash and left a tip.
She counted the money twice in front of us and then loudly stated that the tip was insufficient. She returned the cash to the table and confronted us about the amount in front of other guests, which created an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation.
Tipping is customary, but publicly addressing guests about the amount they leave is inappropriate and unprofessional. As returning customers, this experience was extremely disappointing and has significantly affected our decision to dine here again.
We hope management reviews this incident and reinforces professional service standards to ensure other guests do not have a similar experience.
My friends moved all over the country and any time they come back into town they ALL stop in and have dinner. Basically anyone I’ve brought to this place even if they live in Crystal Lake drive to this location instead of eating at the one that’s located closer to their homes. Not taking a shot at Crystal Lake location cause it applies to all of them! Those ones are good, it’s just the Arlington Heights one is that much better.
My wife and I will continue to visit this location as their food and service is just as good as it was when we used to go 3 or 4 times a week 20 years ago. The only difference is now my wife cooks ( lol) and we have a young child who isn’t ready for sit down 3 course meals !!
Jameson’s punches above its weight ( price point) in my opinion , it is as good as Morton’s , Montero, Pete Millers , Stony River, Chinns and other ala carte restaurants and blow other places like Weber, Wildfire ECT…. Out of the water when it comes to simple Steak / pork chops.
Always an excellent choice when going out with a large party ( definitely recommend being seated in the bar area with 8 or less) or a fantastic place to take the wife or girlfriend for date night or special occasions! If you go tell George , Dan sent you” lol!
I recommend the Petite Fillet cooked medium , cream of mushroom soup, Garlic Mashed Potatoes ( they always have them if you ask!)!
