Really liked this restaurant. Nice variety of apetizers, entrees, sandwiches, salads. Was decorated nicely for the holidays. Live music was setting up just as we were leaving. The musician says he plays R&B, blues, jazz etc. Large bar area. My partner had the 24 oz. Ribeye Steak with a lobster tail and twice baked potato. I had the parmesan chicken. Both meals were excellent. Cooked perfectly. Large portions, both of us has lunch for tomorrow. Both meals came with a large bowl of broccoli soup, a salad, and a loaf of bread. No room for dessert. We both had a soft drink. Bill came to $150 total. We got there approx 5pm and had no wait even though it was busy. Cindy was our waitress and she was fantastic!

I first ate here about 15 years ago

This was after a funeral service held around the corner

Jameson’s was a great way to finish a celebration of life that day, however it is equally as impressive when used for dinner to birthdays to anniversaries

This location with it’s rich environment and well stocked bar to the extremely diverse selection main courses handled last evening well

The one thing with no easy solution is a shortage of table space. From those of us that are moving slower these days due to natural aging to those with reduced mobility brought on by injury or illness

I am sure Jameson’s would welcome an extra 10% between tables

Last night’s Filet Mignon was incredibly tender while the beef ka-bob over rice was extremely flavorful

If you are in the Arlington Heights area give Jameson’s a try

Our visit to Jameson’s Charhouse in Arlington Heights reminded us why it’s such a classic. We started with the coconut shrimp appetizer — absolutely amazing and the perfect way to kick off the meal.

The steaks were cooked to perfection, and with bread, soup, and salad included, it was definitely worth the price. I did receive a bad glass of wine, but it was replaced immediately without any hesitation — great customer service.

Five stars from us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jameson’s Original Charhouse in Arlington Heights, IL
Jameson’s Original Charhouse has a timeless, old-style charm that pairs beautifully with the live music, making it an ideal spot for a romantic night out. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a classic steakhouse vibe that’s hard to find these days.
I ordered a steak medium, and while most of it was cooked properly, the portion closer to the bone was unfortunately undercooked and nearly raw. I also requested the blue cheese crust, which was initially missing but added later upon request. Despite this hiccup, the flavor and quality of the food were good, especially considering the price point.
Service was excellent attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. Overall, it’s a solid dining experience if you’re looking for a traditional setting with good value, but make sure to clearly communicate how you want your steak cooked to avoid any surprises.

We have visited Jameson’s CharHouse several times in the past and previously experienced polite and professional service. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was very different.

The server’s attitude during the evening was not particularly attentive or welcoming. Nevertheless, we paid our bill in cash and left a tip.

She counted the money twice in front of us and then loudly stated that the tip was insufficient. She returned the cash to the table and confronted us about the amount in front of other guests, which created an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation.

Tipping is customary, but publicly addressing guests about the amount they leave is inappropriate and unprofessional. As returning customers, this experience was extremely disappointing and has significantly affected our decision to dine here again.

We hope management reviews this incident and reinforces professional service standards to ensure other guests do not have a similar experience.

Like the traditional steak house style. Steak and fish are excellent and with both soap and salad. The service is great. I dropped my napkin without knowing. The guy picked up quietly and replaced with a fresh one.

We ate at Jameson’s on Christmas night. The food was superb. The calamari and steaks were so tender. However, they obviously took more reservations than they could accommodate. We checked in shortly before our 5 pm reservation and had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. The service was very quick after that. But, while we were crammed like sardines waiting for our table, the one hostess was very rude to people inquiring about how long their wait might be. Granted she was under stress, but the hostess is the first face you see, so she should keep her cool.

while the food was ok the atmosphere wasn’t the best. server was friendly but we had a were sitting in s booth with screaming kids that were kicking our booth. the parents just allowed this kicking and screaming to continue for 30 minutes hard enough where we were bounced out of our seat. after half hour of this we called a manager over to ask for assistance with this issue. he left and around 5 minutes later he had another manager come. they walked past the table and observed that the kid wasn’t kicking. asked us if we were ok and that was it. No apologies no offer to move us. no check back to see if they truly stopped. while I understand the managers can’t really control this, they can control how they show care for our experience. this isn’t a cheap place to eat so expecting the manager to care about your experience is the bare minimum. we will not be back. if your looking for a nice evening out, I would think twice.

I love Jamesons. My wife and I have been going to that specific location since we started dating.( the others are definitely not as good when it comes to food and service) My friends and I have been going to George’s location since the early 2000s . It was the first place I took my wife on an official date and I just took her there on 10/16 for our 10 year wedding anniversary. George is an awesome host who definitely makes you feel appreciated as a customer.
My friends moved all over the country and any time they come back into town they ALL stop in and have dinner. Basically anyone I’ve brought to this place even if they live in Crystal Lake drive to this location instead of eating at the one that’s located closer to their homes. Not taking a shot at Crystal Lake location cause it applies to all of them! Those ones are good, it’s just the Arlington Heights one is that much better.
My wife and I will continue to visit this location as their food and service is just as good as it was when we used to go 3 or 4 times a week 20 years ago. The only difference is now my wife cooks ( lol) and we have a young child who isn’t ready for sit down 3 course meals !!
Jameson’s punches above its weight ( price point) in my opinion , it is as good as Morton’s , Montero, Pete Millers , Stony River, Chinns and other ala carte restaurants and blow other places like Weber, Wildfire ECT…. Out of the water when it comes to simple Steak / pork chops.
Always an excellent choice when going out with a large party ( definitely recommend being seated in the bar area with 8 or less) or a fantastic place to take the wife or girlfriend for date night or special occasions! If you go tell George , Dan sent you” lol!
I recommend the Petite Fillet cooked medium , cream of mushroom soup, Garlic Mashed Potatoes ( they always have them if you ask!)!
