It was awesome from the moment we walked through the door. You would think that we were regulars, we were greeted as we walked in. We were seated right away. The Scotch Egg was great and then to have the tater tots with shepherds pie on top of it was beyond what we could expect. There was live music after a bit which just added to the experience. Thank you for making the night out so great.

Stopped in for a quick bite and drink. Bartender was great and friendly. Huge selection of beers and booze. Food was great, the Shepherds Pie / Guinness Tots were awesome as well as the Shepherds Pie Eggrolls

Second time here, first time was a few years ago. A very quiet Sunday afternoon, bartender was superb and friendly. I got the tater tots with shepherd’s pie on top and it was totally amazing. A must have !

We were wanting a beer didn’t know where to go and we see “Big Country” The Leprechaun driving a golf cart. I stated we were looking for somewhere to get a pint he said “Hope in I’ll take you to the place”.
James Joyce Irish Pub was the spot.
We didn’t get served the cute chick for whatever reason didn’t bring silverware (I don’t know why). It was probably just a misunderstanding.
The beer selection was off the charts. Ordered two Unholy Belgium Trippel’s one for me one for my relative. We both were throughly pleased with our drinks and the atmosphere here. It’s one great pub.
I would recommend this place. Big Country thanks for everything ✌️

Absolutely phenomenal! We had the smoked salmon crostini appetizer, chicken wings and grilled cheese with tomato and jalapenos. Cady was helpful, attentive and incredibly sweet.
This will definitely be a place that we return to, soon!

The wings here are amazing. Our server, Reahan was completely slammed but still took great care of us. Lots of options for food in Ybor but off you are craving wings this is the place to come.

James Joyce is the spot!

Every time I slide through James Joyce, it’s nothing but good vibes. Drinks are strong, prices are right, and the music + crowd keep the energy flowing. This is the kind of bar where you don’t just grab a drink, you end up staying way longer than planned because the vibe hooks you.

Big shoutout to Chris — dude’s got that perfect mix of cool and attentive. Always makes sure your glass is full, remembers faces, and straight up makes you feel like part of the family. Chris is the kind of bartender that makes a good bar legendary.

If you’re in town and want the real deal, James Joyce is the move. No pretentious BS, just great drinks, great people, and that “one more round” energy. Cheers

Ybor City Cigar Festival weekend. Ran into this quaint Irish Pub and the music was lit, the service was top-tier and the food was fresh & tasty! They had live music and I learned some Irish songs. We had a blast and will return.

I’ve been going to James Joyce for years, love it. The staff and atmosphere is top notch, always a great time. Until tonight, the food has always been top notch as well, best Sheppards Pie I’ve ever had. Tonight I thought I’d be different, and I ordered Patty Melt, which was a special. What I got was a Cheeseburger on barely toasted white bread. It WAS AWFUL. Thankfully it wasn’t my first visit, because it would have been my last. The others in the party got appetizers, which were amazing. I was so disappointed! Whoever was in the kitchen tonight, obviously doesn’t know what a Patty Melt is. Kills me to post this, because its one of my favorite places, but it was awful !
