There is NOTHING this chef could prepare that I would not eat. He is a culinary artist and it would be a crime for you to not eat here. Lick your plate good! I even eat their broccoli. It’s fresh like all their vegetables. So you need to plan to give him time to prepare this fresh food so we give ourselves two hours to stay each time. He and his wife treat you like family and everyone is treated like VIP.

A nice place run by husband and wife. It serves Texas, America and Twainese food. We had pork two ways, broccoli and potatoes. The pork was tender and so flavorful. The broccoli was the best I have ever had in a restaurant. The baked potatoe was fully cooked and seasoned to perfection. The wife came to clear the plates she asked my husband “That too green for you?” You see my husband jokes that as a child he must of been bitten by something green, because he has a strong aversion to anything green. We had been together for 15 years before he ever ate a taco salad.

Best wings in town. A truly unique experience, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If you are looking for something off the beaten path, delicious, and locally owned, this is it.

This is a marvelous place to eat. Family run, where the cook often serves you the food. You need time to eat here because nothing is premade like at other restaurants. The cook starts making the food when he gets your order, nothing has been made ahead. The pork chops are the biggest, most tender I have ever had. I have never had anything bad here. I love the wife, she is wonderful and so sweet. Good people serving wonderful food. 5 Stars all the way around!

Literally the hidden gem of Springfield. At first I was skeptical that a lot of the reviews were faked and the name “James Home Kitchen” sounds more like American comfort food than authentic Asian…but I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Fantastic experience all around. The owners were so kind and attentive, food was all freshly made and delicious (we had the crab Rangoon, tonkatsu, bulgogi, and honey spicy chicken all of which were very good), and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. Would most definitely return.

Amazing food . The owner and his wife are some of the nicest most kind hearted people you could ever meet. James definitely takes pride in his cooking . It’s a must for the Springfield area .he even made us a special dinner with chanterelle mushrooms I brought in for him . The chicken wings are definitely something to wright home about .

My appetizer was 1 egg roll which taste like the frozen egg rolls you buy for home. The complimentary crab Rangoon was poor due to the liquidity cream cheese. I ordered the ribs as I thought was an entree but was served in a small boat dish with only 3 small rib bones & 2 broccoli heads. My other party diners enjoyed their dishes when they finally were served, an estimate 20mins. after I received my dish. The reason for the delay was because they were cooking the requested take home dish and served all at one time. They dishes included beef bulgogi, vegetarian stir fry with rice and beef brisket. I did enjoy their chicken wings which were served crispy & honey flavored sauce. Not a favorite win for me, but willing to try another visit in near future.
