AMAZING Barbecue! The meat falls off the bone. The sauce was so tasty, however, you won’t need the sauce. Fresh and tasty, what more could you ask for.
The two ladies working there are so hospitable and friendly. They make you feel at home.
Good Mac and cheese too. I’m not a Mac and cheese person, but, my husband devoured it.
So, with that said, stop by and try these ribs. Not only are they truly THE BEST, but you will be supporting local businesses and by doing so, helping them to stay open.

If you are ever in Groveland Florida and want some good southern BBQ and country cooking you have got to try James bbq on hwy 50, friendliest people you will ever meet, and the landscaping is beautiful, James takes care of it himself.
On mon, wed and thursday they have a $5.00 lunch special, I had the ribs, collard greens, beans and cornbread and a huge mason jar of sweet tea and it was all I could do to finish it.
You won’t be disappointed.

Great central Florida BBQ! Meat is served with two sauces, mustard and ketchup based. Great sides and super sweet tea (I changed to a half and half). James is a kind and thoughtful owner who comes out to talk while you’re eating.

James BBQ is a wonderful local treasure, the meat literally was falling off the bone all my sides were incredibly well done and tasted like momma woulda made, added to that James was an incredible host and gave us some great conversation and laughs along with showing us around the smoker, you can’t find a better host or better BBQ in the area!

The food is amazing. Great taste, huge servings, and low price for the quantity amd quality. We ordered it through doordash to be delivered and it was very fast in delivery.
Went here in person for take out and the staff were all very nice. Seems like a great family owned restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Disappointing experience and expensive, won’t ever be back. Very seldom I will leave a negative review but I believe this one has earned it. James (the owner), you remember me, I was to your restaurant on Sunday, 5/24/2020 and ordered a to-go service for 10 persons: a tray of chicken+ribs, cornbread, mac & cheese, and potato salad. The total for that order $279? Have you given me the price before I would have brought my family to the restaurant instead to order the $14 meals each with table service. I love to support local mom & pop businesses, but almost $30/person for something not even worth for picnic catering seems unfair and excessive. After haggling with you, you told me what I thought seemed right and, not low-balling you, I offered you $200, which you unhappily took with an attitude, the same attitude that I observed some of your employees had during my visit. I wish you success in your endeavors, but be clear up-front with them, Sir!

I would definitely recommend you stop by James ribs and give it a go for yourself. He lives up to his logo which may be humorous but a really big deal when it comes to awesome barbecue.
