This was amazing. We stopped here to get some solid food from a restaurant that wasn’t a chain and Jambonz Deux didn’t disappoint. We were immediately greeted by Sharon who was delightful! She makes all the desserts they sell herself. She was very attentive and even brought out things I wanted (extra sauce etc) before I had the chance to order it. She was the cherry on top of this fulfilling meal. This is a gem of a restaurant and when we find ourselves back here, this will be on our food list.
** The gumbo was especially amazing, red beans and rice had great flavor and the homemade fried pickles? Swoon.

Overall, it was a solid first visit. The service was quick and friendly. My bowl of gumbo was super tasty, and my wife loved her jambalaya. They also have a classic kid’s menu, which worked out great for us since our daughter wouldn’t eat most of the items on the regular “Louisiana” menu.

I recently moved to the Rapid City area and was so excited to find this little gem!
We started our meal with hush puppies and paired them with the comeback sauce—10/10 recommend. For the main course, I ordered the soup flight for the second time, and once again, it was perfect. My mother tried the jambalaya, which had just the right amount of spice and was absolutely phenomenal.
I also loved the giant jars of iced tea, and the service was impeccable. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes—maybe even more soups?

What a fantastic find! We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday while in town for a hockey tournament, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like we’d been transported straight to the South. A friendly gentleman greeted us with jokes, setting the tone for a welcoming experience. Our server was equally kind and helpful with food recommendations.
I kicked things off with a delicious Gator Blood Bloody Mary and decided to sample several lagniappe, blackened catfish filet, crab bisque soup, and cornbread. Every bite was absolutely mouthwatering. My husband went for a fried catfish po’ boy with collard greens, and was impressed by the fresh bread, flavorful fish, and perfectly seasoned greens.
While our tournament didn’t go as planned, this authentic Louisiana meal was the highlight of the trip!

I read the reviews and I’m not sure I agree. Maybe I arrived too early on a Monday evening. The jambalaya gumbo combo with catfish was really bland The green beans seemed like they were over microwaved. I indicated to the waiter I like very spicy cajun food This had hardly any spice at all.
The restaurant was cute enough as you walked in but they were kind of like plastic plates. It wasn’t very expensive but it also wasn’t very good. I want to go back and I’m pretty sure if this was in New Orleans it wouldn’t stay in business. But if this is the only choice for Cajun around it is what it is.

Outstanding meal and service tonight by my bartender/waiter. I ordered the Crawfish Etoufee and the Cajun Blackened Shrimp. It was all delicious! Will definitely return soon.

Jambonz is THE authentic New Orleans restraunt you’re gonna have to visit in the north. The service is quick and the food tastes amazing. They’re is truly something for everyone to try there, even quite a few dessert options too. They have around 10 ice cream flavors, 14 beers on tap, and a full liquor bar. They have a wheelchair accessible entrance and a large array of seating. Their bathrooms are very clean, as is the rest of the restraunt, the decor is exciting and really puts you in the mood for some New Orleans spice. This place is great for any occasion, whether you’re single, going in a date, a full family, or celebrating your birthday! All around a great place with friendly staff and great vibes 🙂 hope you all have an amazing day!

This place was incredible. So unexpected to find an authentic Cajun restaurant here. The artsy interior made me feel like I was actually in Louisiana instead of South Dakota. Tha Pastalaya with chicken was perfectly seasoned the gumbo and catfish were equally as tasty. This place is not to be missed.

Authentic. 100% and LOVED every dish I sampled. If you like Cajun, and/or spicy foods period they’ve got it, and THEN some! Bar tender is amazing and friendly as can be too!!

Convenient location. Food was mostly good. The shrimp dish missed the mark. It was tasteless and chewy. When I told the waiter this, he said it was “gulf shrimp” and had a different texture. We are from Florida and know what gulf shrimp taste like. Then they wanted me to pay for the shrimp. No.
