I’ve been eating here for years, I ordered a 8oz 16oz and a 24oz and the total was 30 dollars. The 8oz was 10 dollars and adding the 24 and 16oz made it 30 dollars. I see that they only gave me the 24oz and I call them letting them know I was charged for each one and he told me I had to order them separately, but I was charged for 3 right at that moment. He tries to hurry and change the prices and make it almost 100 dollars instead of 30 dollars. I could tell this is something they are constantly doing because I couldn’t even get my words out that I was charged for all three regardless of what he is saying the 24 oz alone still isn’t 30 dollars and you can update your prices at anytime so if it was set up like that then that’s how it was set up ♀️. I ordered and paid , I don’t know if my name being Aaliyah kind of made them feel like a African American shouldn’t get this food but I’ve took the time to leave how to make this dish, I couldn’t make it myself so I ordered it and to be played with like this over a DoorDash order and I’ve been giving this place my money since I was a kid is disheartening and the dishonesty is very disappointing! If you can quickly change the prices after I say either give me the food, money or im calling the cops, then you should’ve BEEN changed the prices knowing you wouldn’t be giving all three. I took screenshots of everything thank god, the food is good but it’s not worth the scamming !

The food was very satisfying and delicious. Just like homemade.
I ordered both the chicken curry and beef fry(Karanga) with fufu.
Also order the Egushi dish to dip fufu into.
Tables and chairs are conveniently place to sit wherever you like.
The bathrooms were clean.
It was a very nice experience.
Will be going back for sure!

Ordering takeout is a privilege- a luxury if you will. So if I go spend my hard earned money, and drive 25 minutes to pick it up- I expect my order to be correct especially when I have to wait an extra 20 minutes. I ordered collards and okra stew.. They gave me the correct items but why did I come with NO meat? Excuse me? What am I paying for then? There is non a NON MEAT option on the menu so why was I given just greens? Of course I did not realize until I got home- so I tried calling and guess what? No answer. I called multiple times and no answer..

This place added a sauce that seemed like someone’s leftover in my order when I asked for sauce the that was missing in my order. If you look at the sauce containers, one is not even up to half of the container, talkless of being full like the rest. The woman just picked it from the back so it seems like she didn’t pick it from the stock but just a leftover from someone. Also, their food does not have the quality that it used to have. I will not go to this place again. They may be serving leftovers to customers.

There are two reasons that I am giving this place 3 stars. The first is it took 45min for me to get my order. As you can see from the picture, this should not have taken 45min. 2nd I had to go back inside to get utensils for my to go order. The young working the counter completely ignored me when I came back in. I said excuse Sir 3 times. I had to wait for the server to get the utensils. The food is decent but time is the only thing I can’t get more of. I suggest you place your orders before you arrive.

This shit is absolutely disgusting. I ordered cassava with fufu and rice. One didn’t get my full order, two the cassava was overly greasy and didn’t taste like ANYTHING no seasonings whatsoever,secondly there was only TWO pieces of meat in a 32oz,& finally the fufu was so dry and thick it’s actually ridiculous. If you want good quality African food I HEAVILY & WHOLEHEARTEDLY suggest going to Akwaaba. In this case it’s true that all good food comes from bad neighborhoods cause there’s literally no way. I’m so irritated that I even spent damn near 40 dollars on ts when I would’ve spent HALF of that at Akwaaba and I would’ve been satisfied I would’ve gotten my whole order and all. I can tell they ain’t make this with love they would’ve been better off just declining my order. Please do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else you won’t regret it like I am right now.

I tried giving this place a chance with an open mind even after reading multiple negative reviews. The negative reviews are very true! I went at 1pm on a Saturday. Not many people waiting. There was a couple waiting for takeout and a couple dining in. I placed an order for one potato green. I waited an hour and 35 minutes before receiving my order. I watched multiple customers leave due to the extremely long wait. I was asked multiple times what it was that I ordered when an employee would notice I’ve been there for so long. This was perhaps the longest I ever had to wait for food. Also I requested for my order to be made spicy with the pepper sauce added in. The order was not made as requested and a very small amount of pepper sauce added to the side. Highly disappointing experience. First and last time here.

Ordered the pepper soup by phone 20 minutes in advance. Had to wait an additional 25 minutes after arriving.. With only 1 other costumer in the restaurant. I think they forgot to put in my order. Food was good but not sure if it’s worth the weight or the price.
