Phuk’n DELICIOUS curried goat, cabbage, and rice and peas. It is THE BEST overall Jamaican curried goat dish I’ve had at ANY US Jamaican restaurant. The cabbage alone is outstanding and better than any other restaurant in GA. The rice and peas as well is better than other places. At other places there’s something missing and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I almost forgot. The food is hot. It takes a minute to get your plate but it’s worth it. It tastes as if they made your portion from scratch. You can’t beat that when everything seems like fast food.

The restaurant decor needs some work but I didn’t go for the decor. It’s what Island people tend to call “a hole in the wall.” I didn’t see any health concerns in the kitchen. However, in the superficial world we live in, upgrading the dinning area and outside will bring them more customers.

I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a visit.

Arrived just before lunch was over. I had to yell “hello” for someone to come to the window. It was four men in the back, not sure why anyone wasn’t in the front to take orders right away. The food here is decent, literally. Coming from NYC and eating jamacian food all my life, I know what it’s suppose to taste like and this was not it. The whole entire meal felt like it was missing the ingredients to everything, it was flavourful but I can’t put my finger on it as to what it was missing. The Mac and cheese was pretty good. The beef patty was alright, the bread was amazing but it was barely any meat in the patty like they almost had to portion out the cow itself. The curry chicken was decent, again seem like it lacked something. The rice and peas literally tasted like rice and peas, completely lacking flavor, the sauce saved it and they gave JUST enough rice. The price for the lunch special I would say is fare because they gave me lots of chicken. All in all, the food is okay but not worth returning.

The food here is excellent. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about. There are tables and chairs and small refrigerator for the drinks. The drinks besides the bottle water were all Jamaican brands.
The taking of the orders was speedy it’s the wait time that was a bit slow. You can’t be in a hurry when patronizing this place, call ahead and place your order.
The prices have definitely gone up but it’s understandable considering the current economy.

I ordered from this place twice because it’s close to me. The first time I ordered I waited over an hour for the food and when it got to me the chicken was cold on the inside, and I mean cold cold like they had it in the refrigerator and put it in the microwave for a few minutes and sent it out. For whatever reason, I decided to order from here again this time I figured I would order for pick up and go get it myself so that it didn’t take that long. I ordered online it said it will be done in 35 minutes. I waited 40 minutes went down to go get the food when I got there They let me know that the food wasn’t done and I had to wait another 20/25 minutes. When I got home two minutes later, I opened the food to eat it. It was good portions. It was actually a lot of food but again the food was not hot. This time. The food was warm, mind you I just picked it up. The food wasn’t fresh. It was almost as if they pre-made the food the day before or two days before and they just kept reheating it and selling it, that’s how the food tasted. My husband even got sick after eating the food that day. I’m disappointed with the Caribbean restaurants here. Since I moved to Ga from Miami it’s been so hard to find good food. I hope this place start to value quality. If you can not handle online orders, third party orders and walk-in orders maybe just focus on walk-in until you can get a better system. Hope this is taken into consideration.

Overall experience was pleasant as well as the food. Had to wait for the Mac N Cheese but when it came… no dissatisfaction whatsoever. Had the goat cabbage beans and rice
Goat-good
Cabbage-better
Rice and beans-good
MacNCheese-I wish they had green peas and ham (or smoked turkey)because that could have been a dish all by itself

Portion size- good
Service Attitude-good
Interior/exterior-could be better. I sat in and the joint had no bathroom so 4 stars
But could have been near 5 if I had just ordered it to go

Great job overall and would return the next time I come in town

This was me and my husband’s first time & it was amazing! The wait was a little long but it was well worth it. Honestly now a days you have to wait a minute for anything good. Service was great & the guy who helped me was so sweet! Loved the atmosphere & we will be back!

I ordered Dad’s and they walked off saying “we’ll ring it up when it’s done” but I didn’t order mine…. I went back up there to order it and they asked me to wait again.

Wasn’t given a wait time, didn’t ask for my name.

Very busy, so I assume the food is good, but the utter lack of service and communication meant I had to leave without my food because my Lyft was already here.

Restroom is neat and clean. It’s out back, you’ve got to exit the lobby to get to it.

Ordered oxtails, mac & cheese, and cabbage. I will say it’s the best meal I’ve had in a very long time and I’m a cook. The oxtails fell off the bone so tender so tasty very very flavorful. The cabbage was delicious again nicely seasoned, and the mac & cheese was closest to my mac & cheese that I’ve ever had. I will say they are little slow, but it is so worth the wait if you want a good meal order from Jamaica Hut!

The food was very flavorful!
Like many reviews have stated, the wait time was lengthy. Normally, I don’t hold it against quality (you can’t rush art), however ~30 mins is excessive for 1 meal during non peak hours.

Also, my initial option (jerk chicken) wasn’t available. When asked how long until it would be, one staff member shrugged his shoulders while another who overheard the conversation said 2 hours.
Why would this not be something done before opening?

The overall “service” wasn’t welcoming. Despite providing quality food, the experience left much to be desired.
