My boyfriend and I stopped by this place driving from Dallas to Temple. It was only a few minutes off the highway and had good reviews. This restaurant is off a small road and is a random, brightly colored, building surrounded by farmland. Do not let this deter you!! The food here is SO GOOD. We got the oxtail, curry chicken, rice, and plantains. I will 100% go out of my way to eat here again. The owner clearly cares A LOT about his cooking and customer satisfaction. Some previous reviews mentioned small portion sizes but he must have taken this to heart because the portions were quite large and we couldn’t even finish. It was a hot day and he brought 2 homemade lemonades out to our car, free of charge (which was also delicious). Support this small business and give this place a try!!! Really, really good.

My husband and I had the jerk chicken, peas and rice, and sweet plantains. We also got beef patties. It was all SO good! I’m from NY and missed having Jamaican food. I’m so glad to have found this spot. Everything was seasoned well and had just the right amount of heat and great portions. The plantains were sweet and juicy. The patties were flaky and tasted amazing. The restaurant was neat and clean. My David was friendly and pleasant. Definitely will be back again! I totally recommend!

This is my third visit and I must say every visit has been amazing from service to food. I have had the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, and jerk burger. The lemonade is amazing! My daughters had the oxtails (3 each) and the size of each oxtail was pretty nice and I did get to taste them delicious and tender. We will definitely continue to visit.

The curry chicken and rice was delicious! The portions were large enough for me and my son to share a meal. He loved the champagne soda. The owner was very nice and friendly. We will definitely go back.

Do not drive by without stopping in! You will not be disappointed! Better than food I had in Jamaica itself! The chicken was superb but the oxtails….my oh my oh my! Off the charts spectacular. I eagerly ate every side and would be hard pressed to pick one I liked over another. I wish I had taken a pic of the food, but I was too excited to eat after smelling it all the way home. FRESH MADE & DELICIOUS! The owner/Chef is so pleasant and friendly and it may not be fancy, but watch the rush rush of people go by as you wait for your meal. It might take a minute (we are on island time here..lol) but it is so worth every minute. I will return and look forward to trying more…including the desserts! P.s. I got 1 medium original jerk chicken and 1 original oxtail and it fed 3 adults with leftovers! Best bang for your buck around!

So we visited this spot a little over a week ago and the food was good BUT… the portion size of the main dish was so small and the larger part of the Styrofoam plate was filled with one of the sides.. tons of rice. Not use to a side being placed in the larger part of the container but we’re good. We may return if they switch up how they serve things but to drive all the way out there for a little bit of curry chicken and goat was a waste of our time.

Because it is a distance away I order a lot of food. I had the classic Oxtail, Jerk Chicken, Fish, Cabbage, Peas and Rice, Plantains, Beed Patty, and Lemonade all is it was GREAT. My food was served in a plastic one compartment container, no Styrofoam.
I believe the owner listened to the reviews and made some changes and if I must say so myself, man this is Jamaican not Jafakin.
Btw, I got about 6 or 7 Oxtails with my order and we ate this food for lunch, dinner and still had rice and peas the next day. Differently going back, I wanna try the Curry Goat

Great experience Mr.David was awesome…very authentic from the the start and helpful with every question and request made!!! As we were waiting for our food he assured us that our food was being made fresh!!! When our food was ready it was deliciously hot and fresh. It definitely like i was back in Jamaica

Like someone else mentioned, the drive is too far for the portion servings. I ordered the oxtails and received just 2 oxtail. Mr. David you will have to do better.
