Bit pricey especially for the small portions, but food was pretty good! Be prepared for a wait, we came at 1pm on a sunday and waited around 30 minutes. The homemade jam was delicious. Got the hash brown Bennie and kale and shiitake Benedict. Service is great and ambience is nice.

Tried the pistachio cardomom latte, but personally disliked it as the cardomom flavor was too strong.

Great breakfast spot on Hawthorne. Cool atmosphere with a lot of local artwork on the walls for sell. Coffee was outstanding and my Huevos Rancheros was super flavorful. The house-made hot sauce was great and so was the Jam. My wife’s Kimchi Hash was delicious as well. Would definitely go back, especially to try the Bloody Mary.

I ordered for delivery not expecting much but knowing Portland I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed, just wow everything I had was beyond my expectations. The fancy Maggie cake is the best blueberry pancake I’ve ever had. I can taste the attention to detail in every bite. It’s just a good perfectly executed brunch place. Those cheesy grist’s are my new favorite side dish.

I ordered the Kimchi Hash, and if you’re a kimchi lover, this is an easy choice.
The kimchi is flavorful with just the right amount of tang and spice, and it pairs perfectly with the crispy potatoes. The eggs on top pull everything together, and the sauce adds a nice finishing touch without overpowering the dish. The portion is generous and very satisfying.
The interior is also a fun surprise-paper snowflake decorations hanging from the ceiling and colorful wall art give the place a warm, playtul vibe that makes brunch feel relaxed and enjoyable.

Came here for a little solo brunch last week and it was so delicious. I’ve been comparing basic breakfast plates around Portland and this one was the most expensive I’d had so far at $15.50, but it was high quality and eggs cooked perfectly over medium as requested. I will say, it’s not the best place for a cozy solo brunch as it’s very busy, loud, and bustling, and I was seated at a 4-top by myself, but I would recommend it for a date or small group for sure. The Halloween decorations were super fun too and it’s in a gorgeous neighborhood!

This was my first visit. My friends and I met up for a late breakfast gathering.

All was good except the coffee refills required flagging down the server to ask for a refill.

The food was good comfort food. The bacon was thick cut, and degreased to the point of be a bit dried out.

We where a table of five squeezed on to a four seater. Not pleasant.

I will probably give this place a second try. It was OK.

Diner with lots of options for Vegans, Vegetarian.

The service was fantastic. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The wait was very long; much longer than quoted and the wait for our food was extremely long. (Quoted 20, took 45) They were busy so expect a long wait if you come for weekend brunch.

The food was fine but unimaginative and pedestrian. It felt like the vegan options were more of an afterthought. The coffee was great and the Peach Pancakes were the standout dish.

Overall great service, fun atmosphere but the food wasn’t up to par with other local restaurants serving vegan food.

Tasty little place w my dream menu item, gravy over hashbrowns!!!! We got the loaded hash brown, Tommy’s Joint, and the lemon and blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were definitely way too sweet (for our taste) but the blueberry compote itself was very nice. The burrito was good w the house made habanero hot sauce. I absolutely loved my hash brown bowl as well. Our adorable server was very kind and attentive. Would come again if we lived in the area!!

Jam on Hawthorne is a lively spot with a fun vibe and a good selection of vegan options. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which I really appreciated. The restaurant is in a great location, though parking can be tricky—there’s no dedicated lot and not much street parking nearby, so be prepared to circle or walk a little.

I visited on a Sunday morning, and the place was packed with a long line out the door around 10am. Clearly a popular brunch destination! The walls feature nice artwork that’s also available for purchase, which adds to the atmosphere.

I ordered the vegan tofu and vegetable hash. The flavors were good, though it was much heavier on hash browns than I personally would have liked. Still, it was a hearty meal and a solid option for plant-based diners.

Overall, a bustling brunch spot with vegan-friendly choices, warm service, and a vibrant setting—just know to expect a wait if you come during peak weekend hours.

I don’t get it. On the weekends the line is out the door. Locals love this place. It was just ok to me. Nothing outstanding. The service was just ok. The food was just ok. I did like all the cut out hearts for Valentine’s Day. I’ll try again sometime. We shall see. Give it a try. I must just be missing something.
