Last night we hosted an employee appreciation dinner at Jaliscos for a group of 14, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish.
A few of us arrived early and grabbed a high-top near the bar for drinks, where we had the pleasure of being taken care of by Victor. He immediately made us feel welcome and gave fantastic drink recommendations , the Cantaritos, Palomas, and margaritas were all excellent. You can tell he truly knows the menu and takes pride in what he serves.
Victor also made sure our table was set up right in the center of the dining room , the perfect spot for our group. From the moment we sat down, everything ran seamlessly. Waters were promptly brought out, and the service never missed a beat.
Every dish Victor recommended was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. What impressed me most was his professionalism , he cleared the entire table smoothly and efficiently without interrupting our conversations or disrupting the flow of the evening. That level of attentiveness is rare and very much appreciated.
Victor went above and beyond to make our night special, and it did not go unnoticed. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back.

They need to do a better job with their cleanliness. Lipstick stained glasses and floating material in the water.
The food was a little bland, tortilla soup had a big lump of rice at the bottom. The asada plate had more onion that meat. Luckily I like onion.

Jaliscos S. Congress has always been an all time favorite spot to visit in Austin since they’ve opened! Bartender Marcos is always super personable and attentive! Great personality! This place never stops growing and making improvements! I am also in customer service and always recommend Jaliscos to my guest! I will always continue to visit and recommend Jaliscos S. Congress.

Ordered a chimichanga and got a flauta cut into 4 pieces. Should’ve taken a picture. My daughter’s chicken fajitas were served on a regular plate and meat had very little flavor, no grilled onions and peppers. My dad got the carne guisada lunch special and he said the taste and quality have significantly decreased since he used to eat here regularly from 2017-2020. No plans to return here. Positives: service was quick and efficient and chips and salsa were very fresh and tasty.

This was my first time here and our waiter Miss. Olga was the best yet. She was very attentive and very kind. She made me feel like i knew her my whole life. Great food, great service. Went with my family and we all ordered different things and everyone enjoyed it. I got the Beef Fajitas which were juicy and tender, my fiancee and sister got beef enchiladas which were the bomb. My dad got a taco and enchiladas plate and it all came out real good, fresh and good portions. Must try, I actually been here when I was in my young teens and the food quality always been the best!

Amazing!!! We came here for drinks and appetizers. All of the drinks we ordered were awesome, including the piña colada and paloma. We recommend the nachos, they were so good! The staff was so sweet and friendly!!

This time I Ordered my favorite entree: the supreme nachos. The “packer” forgot all the extras that we ordered. The cheese, the guac we paid extra for. Had to put my own cheese and sour cream on the order. Also someone’s Hair was in the food?!! Will definitely stop giving this place my business. Used to be great. Would not recommend anymore.

Pretty good Mexican restaurant. They have 2 different salsas to eat with the chips which I’ve never seen before. The classic red one is like every other restaurant, but the thicker one was not that spicy and had a good savory flavor to it. The horchata is free refills and not that sweet, ice had better at other places but it was still good. I recommend the Mexican plate if you like carne guisada. The Al pastor tacos were pretty good too. They came with onions, cilantro, charro beans, and a big grilled onion bulb or something which was yummy. The chicken chimichanga was huge, could barely eat half. It has so much chicken inside. It was like they wrapped a whole chicken breast and cheese in a tortilla. Arrachera was ok, meat didn’t have much flavor, and was kinda small. Wouldn’t recommend it. The young lady that was our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Can’t remember her name though unfortunately.
