This is a busy, authentic Mexican place with an extensive menu. It’s got a fun, ethnic vibe (except for the TV that was playing a coin collector’s shopping channel?) The service was friendly and attentive. They were generous with the chips and salsa. The birria tacos were excellent and a customer favorite. The other dishes we had were mid. My chicken enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce had (I suspect) canned chicken meat. The burrito we had was filling, but probs not worth $17. Camarones dish was ok, but the sauce wasn’t great. Next time we’ll probably try to find a different Mexican restaurant.

Wonderful service and great food! Eduardo took amazing care of us and had so much patience with our kids, which we truly appreciated. He recommended a plate that was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced for the generous portion. Everything came out hot and full of flavor. We also loved the atmosphere and overall vibe of the restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic Mexican meal right near the falls. Amazing location and it seemed like they are willing to accommodate any group size. Salsa was not my favorite but everything else was great.

The service and vibes were great, but food was not. If you’ve ever had Mexican food in other parts of the US (or in Mexico) this is NOT IT. Broccoli and cauliflower don’t belong in burrito. All of the food had weird flavors and strange ingredients like broccoli and carrots. Great decor and happy people. Just really bad food and drinks. Definitely a weird experience for anyone not from around here.

Jalisco’s has been a favorite restaurant of my family for more than 25 years – when they say that they are the best Mexican restaurant in Idaho Falls, they are not exaggerating! After growing up in San Diego I can tell you that the decor, tile work, music, and atmosphere makes it feel like you are south of the border, and the service is efficient and friendly EVERY time you visit. Typically I’m a taquito or flauta kind of girl, but I was feeling adventurous today and ordered the skirt steak with shrimp in a creamy/spicy diabla sauce filled with sautéed vegetables. Wow, I need to be adventurous more often! If you are craving authentic Mexican food in a family-friendly atmosphere with servers that take great care of you, look no further!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in East Idaho and we’ve been to all of them. This last visit was especially delicious. Those fajitas came out sizzling. The smell had our group so excited, our waitress forbade us from snatching that skillet out of her hand. It felt like the song “la chona” was being injected into my veins. I haven’t been able to eat anything since. Nothing compares. 10/10. 3 meat fajita and parrillada is our go to.

We didn’t know this place existed. We decided to make a stop at the Idaho Falls Riverwalk. After our sightseeing, we decided on a bite to eat. We were seated immediately. If you go in before 3:00 pm, you can order off the lunch menu. The chips, salsa, and beans were a great start. Keep in mind that if you ask for more, they will charge you. It seemed that this was more Sonoran style, I didn’t expect flour tortillas with my enchiladas, I expected corn tortillas. The portion sizes were huge, we couldn’t finish our meals. Our server was very pleasant.
