I went by the drive thru asking for caldo de res. It was approximately 5:20 pm. The lady said they did have some so that’s what I ordered. She took well over 20 minutes to bring me the order. I was craving caldo because I had gotten a shot for allergies at the dr’s office and was feeling groggy and out of it. Apparently she gave me left overs. The caldo had one piece of meat which was basically all nerve and fat. No meat. So sad because it was one of my favorite places for Mexican food. That changes today.

I had a mean craving for some carne guisada today so my husband and I stopped in here for lunch. It’s a small place with a few tables. I got the guisada plate and my husband got the barbacoa lunch plate. The portions were huge! We really liked the rice, beans, and barbacoa.

Went through the drive through because I was starving but had dogs in the car. Ordered 3 breakfast tacos because they’re quick. 20 minutes later, I finally get my food, drive home, and find they only gave me 2 of my 3 tacos. And the one they left out was the one I wanted most

The dining area is well kept unlike other places in San Antonio. The torta was good the asada meat was – meh. Also, we ordered a chimichanga and asked if the chicken meat was dark or white meat. The server said white, however it was a mix of both white and dark meat. Also, the restrooms need to be cleaned and remodeled. Price is very good.
