Jalisco Mexican Grill started on August 2020 during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We, at Jalisco Mexican Grill think that through rough times, is when the best challenges are to be overcome. Taking all the precautions and with the experience we have, we thought it was a good idea to start a business. We were sure, we would succeed because we are in a town with amazing people and amazing neighbors. Here we are, and here we go.

I love their Menudo! Of course the Burrito Frito is another fave (4 choices of meat). Wonderful cooks and the food is authentic. Plenty of parking and also seating inside. Great place for young and old.

Sigh, kind of disappointed in our meal today. I decided to try something different and got their “Chile relleno” and I’m putting that in quotes because it’s not even remotely close to a chile relleno. Picture below to show. It’s a pickled jalapeño that was filleted open, and wrapped in a fried egg. Totally not what I was hoping for, as a chille relleno is a different kind of pepper, stuffed with cheese and dipped in an egg white batter and fried. But no worries because I got an enchilada to go along with it, except it was so wet, the tortilla quite literally fell apart and resembled the texture of melted cheese. Not a huge fan of this meal. The saving grace of this meal was the rice and beans, those were wonderful and I ate them with the chips that came along with my meal. I’m not writing this review to bash, but so that others who want a Chile relleno don’t go in expecting one and receive whatever this was instead. 3/5 due to the beans and rice being good. Photo below is the pepper and the egg from my “Chile relleno” and the mushed up stuff on the side is the remainder of the tortilla from the enchilada which I didn’t finish eating because the texture was so wet.

Cheese enchilada hardly existed on the plate. It was basically a warm tortilla with cheese on top. No filling. Taco was subpar. l know Montana isn’t known for its Mexican food. But most places are a better choice than this one. l wouldn’t go back.

The service and the environment at this restaurant were good. Although the food was not good at all, the chips had been refried and served, the guacamole was not fresh at all and had not taste.
The sauce for the chimichanga seemed a can sauce. I have not taste a mexican flavor in any of the meals that we ordered.

Jalisco continues to deliver solid mexican style ‘soul food’. Service continues to be the standout; food delivered piping, a smile, and they follow up. May not be as spicy as I prefer, but Jalisco caters to what most Montanans prefer, i.e. large portions.

Been meaning to try this place for a while and finally made it. Opened during the pandemic so it’s kinda under the radar but I’m glad I finally made it. First thing is the chips and salsa. Standard fare for a Mexican place but this was some of the best salsa ive had in a while. Don’t know if it was homemade or just Pace, but it was thick and tasty. Normally I don’t pay much attention to salsa, but this time i noticed, for whatever that’s worth. Just had the nachos this time but they were good. Piping hot! Got the meat or ‘deluxe’ nachos w/ground beef which came with a good portion of guacamole that was tasty as well as sour cream and lotsa melty cheese. Definitely would order again. Will have to try other items, looks like they have a good chimichanga so that will be next.

Worst place to eat. Worst guacamole (brown). I ordered a coffee, a plate of chilaquiles, and a chicken flauta. The coffee that they served me was extremely cold. I asked them to brew a new cup of coffee, which they right away fixed. However, to my disappointment, the flautas had enchilada salsa on it and the server didn’t mentioned that. When i asked her what is on them? She simply kept quiet and stared at me as if i was asking a crazy question. So i had to ask individually whether or not the flauta is served with lettuce , sour cream , cheese, and guacamole. At the end i asked her: “so thats all that comes with it right?” And she confirmed. But when i got my order it had tomatoes and salsa. To fix it, the kitchen just flipped the flauta upside down so that i wouldn’t see the salsa instead of making a new one .. HAHA …. the guacamole was brown, not fresh. Check the pictures of other reviews even though they are rating 5 stars but you can clearly see the guacamole dark brown.. after mentioning to the server, she said she will mention to manager. But at no point did she apologized. Manager was of no help either … very unprofessional. First thing manager said when she came to our table was: “can i get you a to go box?” Instead of apologizing and asking to fix my plate. Funnier thing is that she ask if i wanted a to go box while holding my receipt and asking for payment. She lacks customer service and the staff including manager doesn’t care for their customers. Their 5 star reviews are fake.
My husband just bought a hotel 5 minutes away. I will definitely make a note so that we make sure not to send our guest to this place!
